Super hard to see what we did here but we took out a load bearing wall and threw up a massive beam to support the second story. We then built a bedroom downstairs with a closet for their son. We did a complete kitchen remodel all new floors and base as well as wired the home for can lights and surround sound. We also did a complete interior paint job. Super hard to get the whole picture due to them living amongst the project and it happening in phases but it’s a wrap. Just waiting on some supply chain issues with the stair nosing to finish the two steps.

We are looking for a couple of people to join the Byldco team. Looking for one lead remodeler that can handle most aspect of the remodel, is great with communication, works great alone or with a helper, needs minimal supervision and is not afraid to make a decision and keep the progress moving forward. I myself am also interested in bringing on a young man/woman that is ambitious and interested in learning the trades. I have been in remodel for 25 years this year and I am now ready to pass that knowledge on to a deserving driven, excited and ambitious person. You will essentially be with me daily while I teach you everything my mentor taught me and more. We offer competive pay and a very easy going workspace. If you or someone you know is looking please have them call me directly.

Took almost 6 months. But the glass is finally in. It was sent the first time with the angle on the wrong side. Then the black hinges were on back order. Today it finally came in. My gosh what a nightmare glass has been lately. I’m just so happy it’s completed.

So I was just inside Lowes in Bonney Lake. I was doing some shopping for a Project that I have in progress down in Sumner. When I went in I realized that they were having some black Friday sales and decided to purchase a few things that I had been looking at but hadn’t pulled the trigger on yet because I was waiting for them to go on sale. After I put the various tools in my shopping cart I proceeded to go shopping for the materials that I needed for the job. As I was heading towards the ducting aisle I happen to see the American flag aisle and so I pulled my cart into the aisle and started looking at the flags to get myself a new one because mine has torn from the wind we have had lately. All of a sudden out of nowhere this lady walks up grabs my cart takes off with it and says if you want this stuff it’ll be at customer service. I said excuse me Miss that’s my cart and she said well it will be at customer service and I said what are you doing right now are you accusing me of trying to steal these and she just walked off and wouldn’t say another word. I followed her up to the customer service desk and all of a sudden the security comes running around the corner. I told her she is in the wrong. I told her I still had more shopping to do and she says I’ll get you an empty cart and so I’m standing there and finally after a minute I said well where’s my empty cart and then she pushes me this empty cart and turns away and walks off. So I complete my shopping around the store and walk all the way to the opposite side where my car was parked underneath the awning and I proceeded to purchase the materials I had and I told the guy at the register that they needed to go to the opposite side of the store and go get my cart that the manager ripped out of my hands because she was thinking I was going to steal it. I also said I would like for her to come over here and apologize. So as I waited somebody else brought my cart and the manager was nowhere to be found so I paid for all of my goods which came out to about $1000 and then went to go find the manager. After she realized I had purchased she then said she didn’t know the cart was mine she just saw the cart and didn’t know that I was using it even though I was with the cart. I then told her I would like an apology because she made me feel like a thief and part of me did not want to give them my business and I wanted to walk out and go to Home Depot to purchase these items but I felt that I had no choice now but to purchase there because if I did just leave she would’ve felt that she was right and I was a thief. So I told her that I would like an apology which took approximately five minutes of going back-and-forth and me asking for an apology before she finally apologized after making up an excuse that she wasn’t wearing her hearing aid and she didn’t hear me say that it was my cart and that she didn’t notice me with the cart and that she was not pre-judging me based on my dirty clothes I was wearing because I was at work all day. I told her what she did was wrong and it doesn’t matter that people come in that store and steal they fill up carts and they run out that you cannot treat every customer like they are a thief due to the fact that some people are I explained that I have customers that on occasion I have to struggle with to get payment from but I do not ever go into a new customer with the thought that they are going to do the same thing that the previous customer did that is wrong and what she did to me was wrong. I have never felt that way ever before in my life. I truly hope that this was a big learning lesson for her and that she will not do these things in the future I spent $1000 in that store and was made to feel like I was a thief prior to purchasing these tools I was very excited about adding to my arsenal.

Another kitchen almost completed. Floors going soon which will change the entire look of this place after the red floors are gone and the homeowner gives her a fresh coat of paint. Ran out of battery on my pin nailer as I was working on the crown so decided to call it a day. Monday I’ll be back at it.

Well it’s been a little over a year since I decided to change the name of my
sole prop business, go to an LLC and start the serious journey of building a company. Not just surviving anymore. Building a reputable business that offers homeowners in our community honest, reliable, affordable residential remodel services. A company that people will talk about and refer to one another. A company that is operated with the utmost integrity and accountability. A company that people will name to others as their contractor.

Well exactly 13 months after the revamp to BYLDCO LLC we have a accomplished what I believe is a small milestone yet the beginning of many more milestones to come. After 13 months of ensuring the businesses success through lots of hard work, hours spent, gallons of sweat and a few pints of blood we have brought home our first company vehicle, owned 100% and paid for by the business.

I want to say thank you to the community for trusting in us for your remodel needs and making this all possible. Without your trust in us, the opportunity and vision to scale the business would be just a dream. So thank you to all of you who have helped through trusting us for your home remodel needs and the continual support and referrals to your friends and family that make this all possible.

Next stop is my buddy and friend Jason’s business Wrapjaxs in Tacoma to have The BYLDCO logo decal set put onto it. Then to U-haul for a hitch to pull Byldco’s dump trailer and last canopy world for a lumber/ladder rack.

Moving along on the kitchen for Mrs Carrie. The customer that contacted us to help get her kitchen done after a bad experience with the previous contractor she was in contract with. Today we made a quick run out to install the pulls on the cabinets swap the cans for LEDs and to get the appliances out of the middle of her dining room. Still waiting on the low profile microwave which will be a challenge to vent to exterior, and the dishwasher is just temporarily pushed into its home to bring a little bit of normalcy back into our clients life until the counters go in. Template is on for Thursday next week with an install date of the 28th and then it’s tile backsplash and sink and dish hook up and she is back to cooking and enjoying her new kitchen.

This kitchen is moving fast. New doors and casing throughout the entire house on Thursday and Friday last week. Monday Tuesday and Wednesday full interior paint job including doors and trim. Thursday and Friday cabinets installed. Today quartz counters installed. Floors on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Tile splash on Thursday as week and grout and appliances on Friday. Our client loves her new interior and and we are so blessed she choose us to work with. Thanks Mrs Cheryl for trusting in BYLDCO to come into your home and help make your vision a reality.

Sometimes you just gotta stop and smell the flowers. This is an orange lilly from our yard. So pretty.

This customer hired a contractor through Home Depot. That contractor gave her the run around and was rude and condescending. Told her he would do her kitchen and then said he didn’t have time unless she wanted to wait two months with the cabinets in her garage and that the price was gonna go up. He was taking advantage of her knowing her husband is away on tour in the coastguard. She found us through a neighbor. We didn’t really have the time for this with the current four projects we have going but I checked made sure she had everything and decided we would tackle it for her. Demo yesterday and cabinets completed today. Template on for quartz on Friday and appliances on Friday as well temped in place until the stone is in. Then one day for tile splash and plumbing hook up and she is done. Sometimes is about using t your abilities to help others and not just about the money. Seeing her smile and how grateful she was today was worth more than any dollar amount. Today I was humbled by a smile and thank you.

Gotta get some night photos. Who would look at this and think some time ago it was a basement. This project has been an awesome one and we are so pleased at the outcome. We hope our client can utilize these two rental units to bring in passive cash flow for many days to come. Gotta give a shout out to Kareen Tooker who nailed the design. And the Byldco team and subs that have worked hard to put this project together.
