New hours, starting tomorrow Thursday July 11th!
We were testing the waters for our hours the last month, and finally came up with the new ones. The main question is, are we going to sleep more or less now?!
We are using this amazing new yeast now & made Japanese milk bread with it and man, it makes wonders! Dough spilled out of the pan and turned into delicious crisps! A little ramp butter and a few olives with it makes one's dinner complete. We'll try to recreate them on purpose. The bread turned out just fine.

Egg sandwich on japanese milk bread, kebab, khachapuri with ramp pesto & piquillo peppers, omelette, berry cheese danish, babaganoush on focaccia.

We are planning a small "grand opening" on Friday, June 14th, weather permitted. We will close the kitchen at 8pm, but drinks will be a plenty!
At 9pm there will be surprise pyrotechnics next to the bus with live music following. Come and celebrate with us our return to Parksville!

Today we were marching with the Beaverkill Brass and Drums Marching Band at The Trout Parade! Hurray to all the participants and organizers!
Playing with food at the bus, is busy baking, Rob is smoking salmon for rilette.

Tomorrow is the Trout Parade in Livingston Manor. We always participate, and Rob will be joining Beaverkill Brass and Drums Marching Band! DOULE UP'll be open 12 noon to 3pm with a limited menu & 3 to 8pm with the full menu. After that, drinks till 10pm.

New Memories is rocking again this Friday, First Friday, & on July 13th hosting the ConPac Short Film Festival!
Meanwhile next door at Double Up, we are doing what was called before "Rolling River Eggs", with feta cheese, and also cheese omelettes. (Haven't cooked either since 2018! ...I like my eggs cheeseless)
Also playing with teff flour for all GF people out there.
Closed on Wednesday, back Thursday at 8am for more eggs. Hopefully we'll have our favorite chicken sausages from by that time.
We got our permit on Friday Memorial weekend and opened the next day with temporary hours for one week. Here are our hours from now on, until death do us apart, starting tomorrow, Tuesday June 4th.
We'll serve eggs between 8am & 11am. Description & pictures to follow.

This first week, we'll be open in the morning at 11am, Friday - Tuesday.
In general, our goal is to be open every day at 8am, but we need some time to get there, so we'll keep you posted.
Below is the projected schedule:
Fridays and Saturdays 8am to 10pm. (kitchen closes at 8pm, 8-10pm drinks)
Sunday 8am to 4pm.
Monday 8am to 10pm. (kitchen closes at 8pm, 8-10pm drinks)
Tuesday 8am to 8pm.
Please NOTE: this week we open at 11am!
These days and hours are our ideal schedule, but we don't live in an ideal world, so things might change. We'll figure out what works and what doesn't. Please bear with us!

Doublw Up is open today, Monday Memorial Day from 11am to 4pm. Then we need a few days to gear up, and we will reopen on Friday, May 31st. We will post our regular schedule this week.

It was a long journey, starting 2 years ago. Today we got our permit! We are eternally grateful to everyone involved from day one to today. We wouldn't be here without you (sounds like an Oscar speech, doesn't it?)
In addition to the hours I posted this morning, we'll also be open on Monday, Memorial Day, from 11am to 4pm. After that we will be open on Friday, May 31st with our regular schedule and full menu! We'll keep you posted.

We passed all the water tests, but ended up changing our UV system for a much more expensive one, by DOH code. We also delivered everything they requested from us 10 days ago for their engineer's review. It might take a few days or weeks, we don't know. Meanwhile, we'll be serving food for this fantastic Memorial Day weekend event

Patience update: we had a very productive meeting with the Department of Health official yesterday at the bus. There's a diagram we need to present, and one more water test. Wells, especially brand new ones, are a pain in the... and we absolutely refuse to use chlorine for treatment. We want you to drink that delicious water with us. We're almost there, but little things also take time, a week, two weeks, more? We don't know. Meanwhile, we are ordering wines, beers etc, and starting cooking the menu to see what works and what needs tweaking.

The beer and wine menu is done, and we are super excited about it! Our gratitude to for connecting us with from whom we are getting an amazing Georgian Saperavi wine made in the traditional Qvevri method, where wine is aged in clay vessels buried underground. We are also stoked about serving They are great and would solve our problem of little space. Also, big thanks to , and .stonephoto who was helping Mike to make this very functional, simple and beautiful canopy. We are moving along and going with the flow. Waiting makes one very philosophical!

We are inching closer to opening. The last septic test the DOH requested is done, and so are the well water tests. If everything is approved, we'll be almost ready to open. If not, we'll look for a nearby bridge we could jump off!!! We also got a liquor license and are working on the drinks menu, oh what fun!
Meanwhile, we are doing some Archipelago Gulag work around the bus.
First Fridays at New Memories are back!
