Not my normal genre but after hearing an interview with the author over the weekend I immediately ordered this. Will try and find a link to the interview and post it in the comments.

Took some time away from the story collection and did a final read through over the last few days. I came to the painful and slightly panicked realization that in order to feel complete it really needs one more story. A retelling of the fairytale that traumatized me as a child will have to do. Please, allow me to introduce my trauma to you. Haha.
Now I just have to reformat everything. 🫠

Come see us this weekend in New Orleans. You'll get to meet Author Jen Bair JM Jordan and Kelly Lynn Colby to get autographed copies of their novels. We'll be at booth A35 with your horror, fantasy, and science fiction treats for your TBR piles.

I am pleased to have found this early enough that those who live where it is already January 3 can see it in time to participate, if they wish.

I read 41 books this year. Which is about 10 less than last year and 20 less than the year before. But this doesn’t take into account the dozens of short stories and web novels I read or that I reread my own books multiple times and beta read a couple other books that weren’t on Goodreads yet.
My TBR pile is really tall and will likely continue to grow and I’m okay with that. How did everyone else make out on their reading this year? Did you have a goal? Are you going to make one for next year?

All I’m saying is that if office clutter is any indication of good stories, then I am headed for great things 😅

Favorite line I’ve written today while working through novel edits: ‘Maybe you’ve just been broken too many times to remember what being whole is like. But I doubt you are irreparable.’
