It's official. Summerville Fire-Rescue would like to announce that Station Six on Miles Rd officially opened yesterday. Currently, Engine 306, DCEMS Medic 8, and the Fire Marshal Office are services being provided to the community.

We're excited to announce the launch of the "Chat with the Chairman" series. This drop-in event offers an opportunity for residents to engage directly with Chairman Todd Friddle in an informal setting to discuss community issues, share ideas, and ask questions.
The first event will take place on December 11th from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the North Charleston Library (8620 Patriot Blvd., North Charleston, SC 29420.) Chairman Todd Friddle will be available to meet with residents, listen to their concerns, and engage in open dialogue about matters affecting the community.
This is going to be another huge win for Dorchester County.
Construction Update! Exciting progress at the future home of our Library on the Ashley River! This 20,000 sq. ft. space across from Ashley River Park is taking shape to become a hub of learning and exploration. It's currently on track for completion by late Spring of 2024! Stay tuned for more updates!

This event will honor all our military men and women, and feature patriotic music, a keynote address by Superintendent of Dorchester School District Two Dr. Shane Robbins, and a free lunch. Music will be provided by the Ashley Ridge High School Band Jazz Ensemble, Trumpeter Paul Cox from the Summerville Orchestra and Charleston Concert Band, and Mischa Vicary from the Rollings Middle School of the Arts.
Admission to Ashley River Park is free for veterans and their guests. We express our gratitude for their service!
