Hello everyone. This first week of school has been fast and furious for sure! The good news is that we are getting more mentees by the day🎈 We also have quite a few new mentors applying as well!
I have tried to visit with all of the mentees this week and let them know to contact their mentor about the meet and greet breakfast next Wednesday at 7:30 and the meet and greet lunch next Thursday at 12:30. If you check with your mentee you may be able to come sooner. I sent out a ParentSquare message last week but I think about half of our mentors disappeared so I will try to get that updated. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Congratulations to the winners of the 2023 Bridgeport TeamMates Local Scholarship. Kason Loomis $750, Lindsie Leithead $600, Parker Fahrenkopf $500 and Drew Leisy $300. These scholarships are made possible by fundraising from the Bridgeport TeamMates Board. We are so proud of every one of our TeamMates mentees❤️

We had a great turnout for our soup supper last night. Thank you so much for supporting Bridgeport teammates and all of the elementary kiddos in their concert. I took this picture yesterday of one of our matches that have kind of had a rough year meeting with sickness and such. But, look at the smiles on their faces today as they meet, 1 in a cast and 1 in a brace from surgery.❤️

Hello all and happy Friday. This is a group of the most caring people I know so, when I ask for prayers I know you will deliver. These prayers are for any mentor or mentee who may be suffering right now physically or just worn out mentally and needs a boost. The holidays can be hard for some and we need to remember those in our prayers❤️

We appreciate all of your support for this amazing program offered to Bridgeport Public School high school students. People like you help us put the heart into TeamMates.

This week in Bridgeport TeamMates we are doing some great things and experiencing some wonderful moments:
last night we held a Poverty Training for mentors and all in attendance were very grateful for this session with Michelle Keszler. New matches are being made every day and they are all going very well with lots of smiles.
We are assisting a young lady in the program to reach her goals which will involve helping others to overcome challenges.
Tomorrow, I get to speak to a local business about the benefits of mentoring not only for the youth they would mentor but for themselves. "It only takes one caring adult to change a kid's life." This doesn't have to look like anything more than just listening and supporting them. Thank you all😘
