Diamond K is rebranding, we are transitioning from strictly goat tying to all aspects of rodeo and the western horse industry. We are going to offer beginner-intermediate riding lessons as well as pole bending and barrel racing lessons. We are very excited for what this next step has to offer!

Such a powerful phrase. Did you have a bad dismount? Quit a job? Quit a marriage? “Go on”

Did you drawl a goat that kicks? Make a poor financial decision? Lose a car? “Go on”

Maybe you stumbled your tie? Missed a good opportunity? Were scared of a challenge? “Go on”

We’re only living one life so no matter how much, how often, or how severely you mess up… go on.

Sometimes I think people get afraid of messing up a run or anything else in life and are so worried what everyone else will think of them, my opinion on this is when goat tying if you don't have mistakes/crappy runs you never learn what to do or how to fix your problem. Don't let fear of looking like you can't ride someday stop you from going out there and giving it your best and if it looks kind of crappy fix it! Whether it's spending more time on your horse or have someone help with you if it's above your riding experience. I hear so many times it's the horse's fault, they are only doing what you are asking them to do, sometimes you have to own you made that bad run. There are times the horse just isn't feeling it but 99% of the time it's rider error and nerves that get these horses hot at the gate, refuse to go in or they are hurting somewhere. As far as what people think about you if they don't pay your bills then they don't matter! I might be wrong but I'm willing to learn from my mistakes and "Go On"!

First offspring of Diamond K Goat Tying has hit the ground. Ace a little boy was born April 2nd 2022.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the people who made this clinic happen. First of thank you to Laramie Zant for traveling to help teach a different technique of goat tying to help this group of girls lay down some fast runs, thank you to Chica's Ranch for letting us use your facility this weekend, having an indoor was definitely a plus with the winter weather we were dealing with and thank you to Lisa's Tack Shack for sponsoring awards for our participants. All of the girls who participated showed great improvements by the end of the weekend and are rodeo ready for the season ahead!

Due to the weather forecast the jackpot scheduled for tonight will be moved to Monday September 27th.

Diamond K is presenting hopefully one of many walk up goat tying jackpots. No horses needed this is strictly on foot. There is added money in the open and youth and awards for fastest time in each event. Registration starts at 5:00pm expos start at 5:30 and the open will not start before 6:30. Hope to see you their. Summer lessons are now available in two locations. Diamond K will be offer goat tying lessons at the Clanton Ranch in Alloway New Jersey and at Rockin J Ranch in Egg Harbor New Jersey.
