Going into WEEK 9! 7 Weeks until Show Day!!
The first pic was in December of 2021 right before I started my journey. As I look at these before and after pics, I see hard work๐ช๐ป, lots of discipline, sacrifice, NO EXCUSES, sweat๐ฅต, time and patience. I still ask myself โWhat was I thinking when I decided to start prepping for my first bikini competition?โ LOL! I had no clue what I was getting intoโฆ
But I have to say it has been an amazing journey so far. I would have never dreamed my body could transform like it has so far, especially at 50!!๐
As women, when we get older our bodies go through so many changes. Our metabolism is not the same after we turn 40, we start having issues with belly fat and bloat, the scale is our emeny, hormone issues, menopause starts knocking on the door, sleep issues, no energy and more. Things we used to do to help keep the weight off and keep us healthy doesn't work like it did before.
I guess you can say this is where I was at in my life. I was busting my butt in the gym๐๏ธโโ๏ธ like I normally do, but I was at a plateau and the scale kept going ๐. I weighed more than I ever did!!๐คฆโโ๏ธ I knew my nutrition was NOT on point and I had to get control before it got out of hand. This is WHY I needed this challenge. I needed a change and something to work for so I can get some results! I was NOT happy with where my body was going!
With this challenge being way OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE, I am so glad I am doing it! I am down 14LBS, lost 7% body fat and Iโm still building muscle. I love the changes. I look at my results so far and I can say, I am so proud of myself for sticking to it and trusting the process.๐
But I have to say I am a nervous wreck about getting on stage!๐ณ I am hoping to hit my end results. Not sure what that will be yet! But READY OR NOT we have 7 weeks til stage and showtime!! ๐

The last week was rough. The nutrition and exercise was going great! Then life happened. Covid finally caught up with me last week. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ Luckily it was like a cold. But I had 2 days were I didnโt workout. I was really hungry but forces myself to stay on track with my meal prep.
Even though I really wanted some homemade soup my mom made, I stayed focused. After 2 days, I pushed through my workouts at home. Which felt good to get up a do something. I will admit it was a struggle at first because Covid does make you tired.
I wasnโt sure if it would mess up my weight loss but I am proud of myself for not falling off the wagon. When I got on the scale and was down another 1.6lbs!! It was worth staying on track!!๐
Sometimes life is going to throw us curve balls. (Not just Covid) It is up to us to decide what and how to react when that curve balls comes!! Do we force ourselves to stay the stay on track and push harder during those moments or do we give up and fall back? ๏ฟผ Pushing trough the hard times will make us stronger!๐ช๐ป
I glad I trusted the process and stayed the course! My clothes are looser, my belly fat is almost gone, I have so much more energy, and I am toning up!๐ช๐ป๐ช๐ป So yes I am glad I pushed myself this week!๐

Week 2 of 16 week prep Down 6lbs and 10.25โ
So week 2 was a lot better than last week. I am down 1lb and 5.25โ My body is changing and I have a lot of energy right now. I am loving it!!๐ But I find myself waking up at 4:00am. I am sure that will change as time goes by. Seeing the changes every morning is definitely keeping me going. I have not cheated once. My mind is set on this goal and I will achieve it.๐ช๐ป
We had our first posing practice.This will be a challenge for me. I have to learn a walk routine as well. I hope I donโt fall flat on my face when I get on stage! LOL!
My Birthday ๐ฅณ was Sunday. The family ate spaghetti ๐ and potato salad. I ate my meal prep and an oatmeal healthy cupcake๐งfor my birthday cake. I wasnโt tempted.
Now, I could have given myself an EXCUSE to eat or have a drink because it was my birthday. But what good would that have done. I didn't want to set off triggers in my brain to want more bad food. I worked too hard the last 2 weeks and I wasnโt going to mess it up.
We even went to watch a movie.๐ฝWhen we walked in, I could smell the popcorn๐ฟ. It smelled amazing but didnโt tempt me. I just drank water.
You see, this is a mentally game. We have the POWER to control our minds and thoughts. If we consistently tell ourselves negative thoughts your mind will start to believe it. But if you start telling yourself positive thoughts, your mind will believe it.
Pushing myself to do things thatโs out of my routine was hard at first but, the more I stick to it the easier it gets. The more you stick to something the more it becomes a habit. I have to say this is a sacrifice for both myself and my family. I am so thankful for the support I get from them.โค๏ธ
SUCCESS is hard work, sacrifice, struggle, faith and patience. The only question to ask yourself is, ARE YOU willing to SACRIFICE to ACHIEVE your goals?
We are now almost halfway through week 3 and we are still going STRONG!!

Well, I made it through week one!! I am down 5lbs and 5โ!!
I have to say, it was a challenge and an adjustment. I have to prepare meals ahead of time.๐ณ I never prepped my meals before. My kitchen was a HOT mess!!LOL! I had food every where.๐ฌ I am not used to eating 5 meals a day. Even though I should be eating 5 to 6 meals a day.๐คช Snacks are not just a small snack. It is meat, veggies and some complex carbs. ๐ฅฆ๐๐ IT IS A LOT OF FOOD!!
When I first started, I had to force myself to eat even though I wasnโt hungry. I also had to learn to eat breakfast before my workouts. I usually do my workouts on an empty stomach. For workouts, I am having to add in cardio. ๐โโ๏ธ๐ซ I am not a fan of cardio so this was a struggle at first.
I will say even though I had struggles, I pushed myself to eat even though I normally donโt eat breakfast and eat even though I was not hungry. Now my body is adjusting to it. I look forward to breakfast. My workouts are so much better eating before I go to the gym. The cardio ๐โโ๏ธ is also getting easier.๐
It is also a huge sacrifice. NO EATING OUT for 15 more weeks!!๐ณ I will save lots of money.๐ธ Believe it or not, I am not even having any cravings because I am so full.
I think about the sacrifices our GOD went through. He died on the cross for us.โ๏ธ So when I start thinking about the time I have left and wondering if I will make it. I think about this. Then I know I can make it through the next 15 weeks. I WILL SURVIVE!
I now have so much energy and I feel great! My clothes are loose. I am starting to see cuts and muscle already. Getting results will help motivate me to keep going.
It is amazing how much inflammation your body has when you donโt incorporate healthy food. Your nutrition is your choice. We get to pick and choose what foods we eat. When we choose the wrong foods, we gain weight and start having health issues. When we choose healthy foods, we loose weight and feel great. You have a choice every day. A healthy lifestyle is NOT a diet. Itโs making the right choices to live a healthy lifestyle.
At the end of the day, in life if you want something bad enough, you will have to make the right choices, changes and sacrifices even though you may not like it. Sometimes we have to force ourselves to do things we donโt want to do. But in the end it will be WORTH IT!!
Now onto WEEK 2โฆโฆ.

YEP! You read that right. I will compete in my 1st figure competition. I have so many emotions going on in my head.

๐Wondering how I will do this for 15 more weeks?
But that's the mind for you. It loves to control us and stop us from the things we really want to do. Fear and doubt can STOP you in your tracks! I WILL NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. No matter what, I will put my mind, heart, and soul into this competition. I will put my best effort in this to reach my goal.
I will be 50 in 8 days. Some of you may say why you want to do that now? But I say, WHY NOT? I have been into health and fitness for 9 years and love it. I love to INSPIRE and EMPOWER people to believe in themselves to follow your goals and dreams no matter your age. We only have one life. Itโs time to live it to the fullest NOW!!
In this picture below, there is a 30 year age difference. I am so excited to take on this new journey with Kelsei Quick I love her passion for fitness, and determination. Yes, I can be her mom.๐ This goes to show you, age is just a number, you can conquer anything you want at any age.
2021 was an amazing year. I have achieved so many goals that I didnโt think were possible. I am so blessed and God keeps the blessings coming!! For 2022, I have so many other goals but this one is the one that is the most important to me. I am not ready to just settle with my life. I want more. I love to challenge myself with new things. I think I said I would never do a competition. But NEVER SAY NEVER, right?๐คทโโ๏ธ
God has blessed me in so many ways and I know he will lead me and Kelsei through this. This will NOT be an EASY goal. It will be a lot of hard work, sacrifices, discipline, control, and really focusing on my mindset. But in the end win or lose, we already WON. ๐๐
My goal is to see what my body can do at 50. To see how much control I have over my own mind and ROCK this journey! I will overcome the fear and doubt, (believe me there is lots of fear). I want to teach my girls that when you conquer your fears and get out of your comfort zone, anything is possible. I want to be a great role model for them. I love the support that I have from Chad Lynch and my girls. This helps me so much!!โค๏ธ
I believe God has a purpose for me. Thatโs to serve and to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone. Get out of your head and get comfortable being uncomfortable! Donโt let fear and doubt hold you back. Rather it be with your health, job, sport, finances, etc. If you have a goal thatโs scary and fear and doubt is holding you back, I hope this will INSPIRE you!! Be watching as I post my journey!!๐

Consistency is your key to life!!
I get asked how do you stay motivated all the time?
True is I donโt! I am not motivated all the time. There are times I donโt feel like getting up and going to the gym.
But I look back over 7 years ago and think what an amazing journey it has been to get where I am today. I can say I ROCKED my 40โs and I will ROCK my 50โs!!!๐ช๐ป๐ช๐ป
Yes I am putting my age out there. Lol! I want everyone who thinks โI am to old to work on myself.โ โItโs too late for me to start now.โ Everyone who thinks they are stuck and canโt get results.
I am here to tell you to STOP filling your head with those negative thoughts! You can have the kinda life you want. You and only you has the power to make a change. Nobody can do it for you.
But it starts off with you having the BELIEF in yourself. Also the desire to want more out of life.
I started my journey in health and fitness about 7 years ago. I was 42 looking to boost my energy and tone up. At 40 my metabolism made a down hill spiral as well as everything else on my body. (Ladies you know what I am talking about)
When I first started I didnโt know what to do or where to start. I was scared everyone was watching me. Scared to fall flat on my face in front of everyone. (This did happen to me one time or maybe 2 times) Lol! But I had to start somewhere.
As I showed up and stayed CONSISTENT not motivated, the changes started to happen. I could see more tone and definition. I do have to say the more time I spent lifting vs cardio the more changes I could see.
Was it an easy journey? Hell NO! It is not easy. But what in life is ever easy? ๐ค
Itโs consistency, itโs dedication, itโs ups and downs, itโs hard work, itโs lots of sweating, itโs lots of soreness, itโs lots of pushing yourself when you canโt go anymore and it is overcoming obstacles that get in your way and try to derail you.
I have had lots of things along the way that could have derailed me in my fitness journey and my business career. But I pushed though it. Stayed consistent, overcame lots of doubt and fear, focused on my WHY and what I want out of life. Thatโs what got me here today!!
Thatโs why I love what I do. I get to educate and help others achieve their goals physically, mentally, and financially. I have to give thanks to God for helping me figure out what my purpose is here on the earth. That is to help and serve others!โค๏ธ
So I challenge you to stay consistent! Believe in yourself! It is NEVER to late to take ACTION!! Donโt give up on things so quickly. Give yourself a real chance and good things will happen!๐

Most people think that you have to workout for hours and do tons of cardio to get results. Exercise is only 10 to 20 percent. Nutrition is 80 to 90 percent. But mindset is number one.
Getting results doesn't have to take much time. It takes commitment, mindset and consistency. Showing up and making smalls changes everyday.

My name is Jeanie Lynch, and I am a 47-year-old wife and mother of 3 who loves fitness. At my age I never would have dreamed I would be a gym rat! My love for health and fitness has influenced me to become a certified personal trainer to help others with their health and fitness goals.
