I made Hamburger Wild Rice Soup in my Quick Cooker today. Here’s my steps:
I rinsed 1 C of raw Wild Rice until it rinsed clear.
I placed the rice in the Quick Cooker Pot and added 1 1/2 C Water to pot, sealed the pot the pressure cooked on high pressure for 20 minutes. Let Natural Release steam for 10 minutes. Quick Release any remaining steam. Remove rice to a separate dish and set aside.
Replace pot and set Quick Cooker to “Sear”. Add 1 lb. hamburger and break apart to crumbs to your desired size. Continue to cook hamburger until no longer pink. Cancel “Sear” mode. Drain grease.
Add remaining ingredients, except cheese, to hamburger including rice. Stir to mix.
Set Quick Cooker to “Slow Cook” for 4 hours. After 4 hours my soup was way too thick, so I added 2 more Cups of milk and added cheese then set Quick Cooker to “Slow Cook” for 1 more hour. Cancel “Slow Cook” mode and Serve.
