Celebrating Milestones: We have had an amazing week on this Secret Trip, and my birthday week, which started by waiting on results of a bone biopsy from UCSF. I was terrified of the idea that cancer was back, depressed and aching in back pain, but a last minute ask of my friends to join me in a champagne toast was answered unanimously. These friends were present that night when my oncologist called to tell me that the biopsy on my sacrum was not cancerous after all. (“Inconclusive”, but I’ll take it!) It’s been a rough year so far, but with Keith by my side, and the support of good friends, family, and amazing kids, I couldn’t be happier. .oldham
