If you are like me you have tons of Dry Beans [Right Now the Lentils, Split Peas (Green & Yellow) and Garbanzo] are Plenty. Well, do I have a recipe for you!!! Especially if you have one of those Instat Cookers. You can adapt it on the stove and pretty much any cooker and even if you are missing some of the ingredients if you don’t have one. I subbed milk for sour cream. Celery salt instead of celery. Chili Powder for cayenne pepper. Dried for Fresh. Or just totally left out some things like ground coriander. Of added in a can of Sweet Corn. Or even some chopped fresh onions just because I was making a couple of dishes and well I had them next to me all diced up and totally forgot what went where. Hahahaha
You can even make this with the Canned Chicken you have in your Pantry Staples if you don’t have fresh uncooked Chicken or Precooked Chicken that you tossed in the freezer prior to.
So see you get the point.
Then when all is said and done, I scoop up a spoonful, blow and cool it down for the taste test. If you are not totally Drooling yet just season it a bit to your liking and simmer it for one 1 - 3 minutes as you stir it slowly and taste it again until you get what you like.
Oh like me last night I made 2 batches so that I could have some premade in the freezer for the Boys who LOVE LOVE LOVE it and one was a bit over spicey but the first batch wasn’t but still drooling good and i didn’t want to add any more milk and I just mixed them together.
Oh one tip you don’t have to add just seasoning you can add say maybe a little extra milk or sour cream or say chicken bullion with a bit more water or just by itself. Or more broth.
Use what ya got. When I have extra things like celery or even carrots or corn left over I toss them into a zip lock and put them into the freezer for things like this and even cilantro. Now it might not have that crunch as the fresh celery or etc but it will be yummy in the tummy for things like this.
