This Lake Havasu Channel Island condo was a full remodel! Photos taken before completion, but Linda Elkins Designs was the sole designer on project; Kitchen & Bathroom layouts and materials selections… floors, doors, hardware, cabinetry, etc..
Furniture installation came later, but a few pieces are in. Fireplace with hydraulic lift TV was fantastic creation by the GC. View Rail Stairs… quite the feat! This project was a collaboration of passion and sheer determination by a team of Havasu professionals.
Such an amazing artist, and now a friend!

My ideal client and an ideal design project! What a wonderful experience this project was! Custom pillows outstanding, but the enormous sectional sofa and Swivel chairs were custom. Art (niches flanking fireplace) commissioned by an amazing local Havasu artist, Lauri Bahde Art. This 7k sq ft design project is a career highlight. It was fun and challenging and rewarding, and the clients were so danged awesome in spite of supply chain challenges. I'm so grateful that the owners love the results of this new vacation home!

Custom gate completion! Here’s the view from the interior front door, through the courtyard, and the custom gate, beyond! The enormous size of the front door isn’t apparent, but it is HUGE!

Hard to believe it's been nearly 8 years since I participated as a featured Santa Barbara City College design student in this episode of 'Design Santa Barbara' TV show. Literally, everything was pulled together the morning of filming! It was great fun, and where I met fellow student & participant (now an interior designer in Austin, TX), Claudia Pakes, who has become one of my very dearest friends. Some of the decor were near priceless relics, and some bespoke, but I also incorporated one of my great loves, the modern classic, Wassily Chair.
