I did not win this race, but my fight for public Ed did not end.
I wish my opponent and every trustee the best. Serving all students takes great skill and leadership. Commit to learning and leading for all and we will win! Our students are watching and they will follow our example.
I am so damn proud of my people, my campaign, and my 10 years of service to VVISD!

I am proud of every building that we’ve built, but this one might be my favorite.
This CTE building has been a dream for quite a bit of time and I am so thankful we could share it with the community today! If you missed a tour, please reach out to our superintendent. I’m sure he’ll make a way for you to view it later.

I’m so proud of our current board and how we switched the focus last year to create a strategic plan that measures what matters most. We are almost ready to show you our brand new CTE building (a dream that is coming true during a global pandemic because of our fiscally strong leadership).
I serve as chair of the board and I invite you to our public meetings to see how we are making positive changes that benefit ALL students.
Attendance at meetings matters. Following OMA matters. Legally required training matters. Honoring the work of administrators and our faculty matters.
Here’s the start of a Strategic Plan that will benefit all students.
Experience matters.

I have been serving on the VVISD board for 10 years.
I believe in Faithful, Fair, and Ethical servant leadership that honors the work of the professionals in the classroom.
Years ago we sought out to Improve our facilities (Bob Andrew Ag Center, Football Turf, Softball Turf, Gym, and the new CTE building).
However the biggest source of personal pride is the improved board transparency with “who gets to lead” and the Balanced Score Card.
Leadership is not a club or an event and I am happy to answer any questions regarding the state of the district, the budget, the new strategic plan, and more.
Our next meeting is 3/28 at 6:30 pm.
