What an incredible FIRST Tech Challenge season it’s been! 🤖 The ROBOCANES had an amazing time at the Florida Championship last weekend. It was an event filled with innovation, teamwork, fun, and collaboration with other teams. We also received the 3rd Place THINK AWARD!

A huge shoutout goes to our mentors, volunteers, families, and friends for supporting us through this season! We couldn’t have done it without your support and guidance. 👏🏻

St. Anthony Christmas Festival tonight! This holiday season, we are participating in one of the LEGO traditions, . For every heart built and shared on social media with the hashtag , the LEGO company will donate a set to kids in need of play!

More than robots! During this Christmas season, the team prepared 100 PB&J to the homeless and food insecure in our community in partnership with HOPE South Florida.
We designed and labeled 300 angels which will bring joy and Christmas gifts to the 200 students of North Side Elementary School. We also memorialized those who passed away in the homeless community this year. May we all continue to spread joy and kindness to those in need!

We were honored to be invited to the FIRST
Inspire Gala yesterday. An opportunity to share our personal experiences on how FIRST has inspired and changed our lives, along with thousands of other next generation STEM leaders. Thank you for the amazing opportunity to connect with the current leaders of STEM!

In order to celebrate the arts-inspired Robotics’ season and help increasing the number of girls in Computer Science, we will donate half of the proceeds from our Krispy Kreme fundraiser to Code-Art, which will provide coding camp scholarships to girls.

We had a great time competing at the FTC League Meet #1 at North Broward Prep, thanks to for hosting the event! We learned a lot throughout the competition and we were able to make many improvements on the robot. It was also fun seeing some of our ROBOCANES “alumni”!

The team has been working very hard using the new parts to improve the robot!

Last week we had the pleasure to meet our sponsor, Mr. Tosh from Sony and exchange learning experiences. We were also able to demonstrate our robot, explain about the FIRST, FTC programs, and we meet Poiq, their AI robot.

For Christmas this year, we wanted to honor those who are in Heaven. To do this, we made angels for the National Homeless Person’s Memorial Day Vigil.
