The Brazos Valley Big Band is the first-ever community-organized large Jazz ensemble in this area of Texas. Its mission is to perform Big Band Jazz of all styles and provide a collaborative, creative outlet for citizen musicians in the Brazos Valley area. Initiated in the Spring of 2023 by longtime community member Dick Phelps, the ensemble is composed of local residents of various professions.
