We are so excited to see Moisture Festival friends and family IN-PERSON at the Moisture Festival 2022 Annual Fall Auction and Gala will be held (in person!) at Emerald City Trapeze Arts on Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 5 to 9 PM!

The fun kicks off with our fabulous Online Silent Auction beginning Thursday, October 6th and culminates on Sunday, October 16th with the Live Auction and Gala! Your evening begins with a cocktail hour from 5-6 PM. Immediately following, enjoy a delicious catered meal, while our emcees Kevin Joyce and Martha Enson from EnJoy Productions dazzle you with our Live Auction and Gala Varieté show.

Are you curious about our Food is Medicine program? Here are some program details:

Clients in our Food is Medicine program are referred by a health care provider at Community Health of Central Washington. Doctors help identify patients who are both food insecure and have eligible diagnoses of uncontrolled diabetes or hypertension for a "food prescription".

Chef Darren designs all medically tailored meals (MTM) with the freshest, most nutritious ingredients designed to be both delicious and appealing.

All meals are approved by our Registered Dietician Nutritionist to reflect appropriate dietary therapy based on evidence-based practice guidelines.

Baseline measurements are taken at enrollment and results are monitored to gauge the efficacy of the program and measure improvements in the client's overall health.

Did you know FISH also furnishes these meals to those who don’t qualify through CHCW as a paid meal subscription service. For more information or to request a meal subscription, please call our Special Programs Manager Gary Bye at 509-925-5990 extension 809.

Currently, the Food is Medicine program provides medically tailored meals (MTM), social determinants of health screening and referral, care coordination, and medical nutrition therapy to patients in Kittitas County. It has been our goal to expand the program to patients in Yakima County, and to enhance the program by adding medically tailored food, a demonstration kitchen, cooking demonstration classes and grocery store tours, behavioral health services, and participation in the National Food is Medicine Coalition Accelerator Program.

In June, FISH was one of five organizations in the nation selected to participate in the 2022-23 Accelerator Program.

We will participate in training on: 1) Operational levers for scaling, such as kitchen expansion, distribution, contracting opportunities and compliance; and 2) Policy levers that will establish coverage of MTM, particularly within the Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance market; analysis of national and state-level opportunities for healthcare contracting; and education of MTM providers on federal and state law and policy developments.

We are thrilled to continue to be at the forefront of innovative solutions to food insecurity and chronic medical condition management.

Last night was The Daily Record Bares and Broncs at the Kittitas County Fairgrounds. The sun shined, the horses bucked and the riders rode their hearts out.

Going out exploring new places and capturing the beauty that surrounds us keeps my eye sharp.

HOME - Moisture Festival Moisture Festival is the world's largest and longest running comedy & varietè festival, performing each spring at Hale's Palladium in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle.

Kittitas County is full of incredible views, wildlife and if you look hard enough you can still find solitude. I hiked in with a sled of supplies and spent the night miles away from another human. What an adventure!

Volunteers are at the heart of Seattle Moisture Festival! It was so fun to meet, photograph and thank them on behalf of the organization.

Thank you for all the support you have given Moisture Festival over the years! We truly recognize the impact of your volunteer service and the power of volunteers be a force for creating and transforming community. Together we brought Moisture Festival back to the stage after three years and brought so much joy to thousands of people. What an accomplishment!

Now we look to the future, and wherever our future home will be. The 2022 fest was a beautiful send off to the Palladium, and now we are moving. Which means a Moving Sale!

GiveBIG is a Washington-focused campaign that kicks off April 19 and culminates on May 3-4 to help local non-profits raise funds for the upcoming year. You can give early and help us reach our goal on during GiveBIG!

Your support helps us raise the additional $50,000 we need this year to make up for 2022 pandemic-related added expenses and lost revenue opportunities from reduced capacities and number of shows. You also support the future of Seattle Moisture Festival, insuring we are around for another 18+ years "raining down" laughter and joy for our community.
