Instructors certification class held in Miami .
Had a great time this past Saturday earning my TCA part 1 and fall prevention certificate from the tai chi for health institute’s Miami Seminar.
It was my great honor to train with Sifu Paul Vunak to learn and get certified in Rapid Assault Tactics. This is a fighting system geared towards functionalizing self defense and making it easy for everyone to learn. This system is taught to many government agencies, and now I’m proud to bring it to my community. If you have been thinking about learning self defense, but you were unsure of what you might learn in a traditional martial arts school would work on the street, DM me and Take the first step to learning a proven fighting system that was geared to work

Tai Chi is an elegant art from China that has been around for centuries. Legends say, Tai Chi was originally created as a martial art by the monks of China in order to keep themselves in shape and ready to defend themselves against any intruders or marauders. One story states that one of the monks went out for a walk one day and saw a crane fighting with a snake, and was in awe of how this elegant dance played out. When the crane would attack at the snake, the snake would draw back, and when the snake would attack the crane would draw back. This forward and back between these two animals enlightened the monk at how none of these animals used soft energy to meet the hard force of the others attack. This is one of the stories of the legend of Tai Chi.
Today, many people engage in the practice of Tai Chi for its many health benefits which include better mobility, increased balance, enhanced focus and improved coordination. This gentle art can be practiced by all ages and health conditions as the art and its postures can be modified to be used with a walker, cane and even in sitting. The movements are gentle, and should be performed slowly and continuously like a river flowing. At Bearded OT Tai Chi, my mission is to share this amazing art with everyone in order to promote improved health and decreased stress.
