WEEK 2 in Review:

🌧️-Our weekly lesson was on a new museum called La Nube which means cloud. We created rain clouds for our science experiment and discussed how the items used are alike and different compared to real rain clouds!

☕️-The Kindness Coffee Cart was back in action this week! Both the staff and our class was super excited to get things back in action!

🛶-We had our annual Foil Boat Contest. Students make a boat out of foil and then we see how many pennies it can hold. The winner held 100!

🐶-The teachers snuck some puppy cuddles when Mrs Leach brought her litter in first thing in the morning!

We are ready for Week 3! 💙💛

That’s a wrap! 2023-2024 was good to us 💙 Friends were made, new skills were learned, and LOTS of FUN was had! We hope everyone enjoys their break and we will see you soon!

I am SO VERY PROUD of this GROUP! Today they participated in the school wide 5K! Everyone gave 100% effort and had a great time!!

Happy Last Day of High School to Ben! We had a day full of treats and celebration!

We know Ben is going to do BIG things and can’t wait to cheer him on. He has set the bar high for any future HS helpers. We couldn’t ask for a more responsible, mature, caring, and interactive student helper to come in our room daily. The students are better people because they met Ben! ❤️

We had some happy kiddos when they saw their Art show ribbons!

Also, today the wifi was out which cramped out style just a little…we adjusted plans and went on with the day…which included a certain somebody “playing” teacher for a little bit🥰. Her smile says it all…and we promise, Ben wasn’t harmed! 🤪

Today this beauty took part in the Down Syndrome Family Connection Summer of the Stars Fashion Show.

Making it EXTRA special was that she was escorted by Ben💙. Mrs Adams was there with her beautiful daughter as well, and I heard these two had quite the fan club ❤️

Spring Mill has our ❤️. What a BEAUTIFUL day spent together outside!

We enjoyed a hike, playground time, lots of games, puppy play time, bubbles, coloring, and a yummy lunch!

🥒Pickles have become a thing in our room this year! One of our students drew a pickle one day and it has become a “thing” since then. He draws one for each Holiday, I got an emotional support pickle as a gift…it just keeps getting better!

This weekend Mrs Adams found Sour Straw Pickle Roullette! We had a blast trying the flavors and to our surprise many of us liked the pickle flavored sour straw!

A day filled with pure joy and excitement! We are proud of each kiddo for giving their all and doing their best!

Tonight we are going to CELEBRATE this girl!

As April draws to a close, Autism Awareness Month is a well. One common characteristic of autism is a struggle with social interaction.

This sweet girl has made huge strides in the past month initiating interactions with others and taking interest in socializing with peers! THIS IS HUGE and This is NOT easy! She deserves to be celebrated!

In school, not all successes are academic💙

PS-She sure does like our Ben!

Guess who hit 2 HOMERS tonight!?! Yep, our BEN! Way to GO! 💙💛

This Friday, April 26th, is Special Track and Field Day. Opening Ceremonies start at 9am at MHS. We encourage family and friends to attend! If you have never experienced this day, it is something to be apart of💙. You will see what PURE JOY looks like 🥰
