Every woman’s experience with PCOS is unique.
The Healthy Weight Nutrition Dietitians create personalized nutrition and supplement plans that address specific symptoms and goals. Here is some background information on PCOS!
PCOS, or polycystic ovarian syndrome, occurs when the ovaries produce excessive amounts s*x
hormones. This imbalance of hormones can cause symptoms such as weight gain, irregular
menstrual cycles, infertility, cystic acne, hirsutism (abnormal hair growth), and more.
Individuals with PCOS may also experience insulin resistance and trouble with blood sugar control, making
them more susceptible to conditions like Type 2 Diabetes. For this reason it is important to
follow a healthy, balanced diet and include a variety of anti-inflammatory foods with PCOS. We can help with what that looks like for you.
