What a wonderful weekend we just had! Another mini-residency is completed!

"I had the chance to complete the three days mini Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology with Dr Katya at UCSD on February 2023. After our clinics purchased a CBCT scan, I took first a small class lectured by Dr Katya. However, I wanted to learn more and be more prepared. This course is indeed an eye-opener and has helped me to better diagnose my patients at our community health center, and to know when to refer to specialists. The way I see now radiographs is different and using CBCT has enhanced both of my diagnostic and clinical skills. I cannot longer do Endodontics, TMJ assessments, and Third Molars Surgeries without CBCT reading.

Today is the anniversary of the first human dental radiograph. The German Dr. Otto Walkoff took 2 radiographs of his mouth. Each side took 25 minutes of exposure. Although it was January, he appeared to have a nice sun tan. He published his first dental radiographs just 14 days after, on December 31st, 1895, Roentgen rays were published.
