We are a branch of Sierra Pacific Furbabies, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit pet rescue. Our location serves California’s northern coastal counties and those counties adjacent. Our cats are cared for in private volunteer foster homes, featured online and at Petco, Eureka, and are available to meet by appointment only. M
The irrepressible affection machine Oscar has been adopted and gone home in Cutten. He came to us beat up, with horribly infected eyes, and the disposition of a people pleaser. Look at those air biscuits! Happiest of futures, Oscar. Your fosters, Shannon and Wayne will miss you, but you have great new pet parents who appreciate your ‘tude.
Precious little Poppy has been adopted and gone home in Eureka. She joins a handsome big brother who thinks she is just wonderful. Thanks you to Lillie and Ava for fostering her. (She has three adorable brothers still waiting for a loving home)
Come on down to Petco this weekend for an adoption event! We will be there with some of our adoptable cats and kittens. Saturday, 8/24, 10am to 2 pm.
Cheeto is also one of Jaspurr’s kittens. Also 3 months old, fun, loving, and curious, he gets along with other cats and cat-friendly dogs.
3 month old Nugget is one of Jaspurr’s kittens. He is a fun and loving boy who gets along with other cats and cat friendly dogs.
3 month old Chester was just neutered and is ready to find his home. Jaspurr is his mom. Chester is playful and friendly. He gets along with other cats and cat-friendly dogs. He is lying on his side in this photo.
Pretty teen mom Jaspurr was just spayed and is looking for a patient adopter who understands she has just taken care of four kittens and needs a loving person who will give her time to relax and enjoy being herself. She is still so young and had little time to be a kitten herself. Only about 8 months old.
Sweet Sparky has been readopted after losing his senior adopter, who passed away. He basically moved up Humboldt Hill to his new adoptive home. His new adopters had adopted a senior cat from us previously and that kitty had recently passed away. Kind of the purrfect circle of life for him and his new family. Thank you to Linda for fostering him.
Eloise and Clara have been adopted and gone home in Eureka. Thank you to the Williams-Rodriguez family for fostering these sisters who were found in SoHum in a UPS box left on a driveway. What a happy new life for these sweeties.
Delightful Dot has been adopted and gone home to a big kitty brother who needed a lively playmate. Dot fits that well, lol. Thank you to to both Lisa and Debbie for taking turns fostering this adorable little character.
Little Beatrice is staying put in Eureka. She is a foster fail shown with big kitty brother Sir Purrsy Paws. Sometimes foster families just can’t let them go 🥰
Beautiful and sweet Adel has been adopted and gone home in Santa Clara. Her adopters drove all the way to Humboldt for this darling girl. Thank you to Debbie and Doug for her early foster placement and to Lils and Ava for fostering her after.
Need a foster to take over care of little Dot before August first. She is losing her placement due to family medical needs. She needs to be with other kittens.
Hind has been adopted and gone home in Eureka. She joins a kitty sister Stella. Thank you to Debbie and Doug for fostering her.
Bleu has been adopted and gone home in Arcata where he will have two human sisters to play with. Thank you to Andrea and family for fostering him. Also thank you to Brent for temp fostering him over the holidays.

The fostering life. Though many have tried, only a few have advanced to the highest level of the game.
My niece is the designer. You can trust you will get what you pay for. I told her we need cat ones soon, too 😄
Little One's person has been found!
They will be reunited shortly!
PLEASE SHARE! Who has a big heart and a big cat safe yard or catio? This is Simon (aka Rebel) who was once a free roaming semi-feral being cared for by a feeder in Eureka. One day he was horribly injured. The injury was a massive bite wound through one of his eyes and into his head. It got infected. Concerned neighbors saw him, bloody and covered in wounds. They posted about him, and with their help two rescues banded together and got him vet care. First, he was treated for the infection. Once recovered, his eye was removed and he was neutered, got his shots and was tested. He tested FIV positive. After recovering from that surgery he is now looking for a soft place to land. He is such an amazing survivor. He submitted to all sorts of medication, confinement and treatments. He is pettable and not aftaid of people. However, he is not a lap cat or a cuddler at this point. The vet thinks he is about 7-8 years old. Is there someone somewhere who would give this miracle boy a safe and soft landing? Additional photos in the comments. Some may difficult for some people to view. Just remember, he lived it, and came through it ❤️
Who We Are and What We Do
We are a branch of Sierra Pacific Furbabies, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit pet rescue. Our location serves California’s northern coastal counties and those counties adjacent. Our cats are cared for in private volunteer foster homes, featured online and at Petco, Eureka, and are available to meet by appointment only. We do not have a facility. Most of our rescue cats come from shelters, have been abandoned or reported as strays. We only rarely accept owner surrenders, primarily in the cases of owner death, incarceration, or nursing home placement.
All of our cats are tested for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm, are spayed or neutered, provided their basic shots, microchipped, deflead and dewormed prior to adoption. All are litter box trained with the exception of barn cats. Kittens are socialized prior to adoption. Barn cat temperament may range from friendly to feral.
We require our cats to be adopted into indoor-only homes for their own safety, with the exception of barn cats and working cats, and the occasional adult cat rescued from a 100% outdoor setting. Potential adopters must complete an application, have landlord approval if renting, allow a safety homecheck, and pay an adoption fee. We do offer a small discount to seniors, military/veterans, and with proof of disability. With rare exception we require our adopters to be 21 or over.
We specialize in matching cats to adopters. Cats have unique purr-sonalities too and not every cat is ideal for all potential adopters. Please ask about this service.
