Training today to improve skills, and productivity in Quickbooks!

Quickbooks is experiencing a glitch in editing of payroll data. If you call in, they can make the edits for you on the back end, but for some reason it doesn’t work on the client side. They are aware and have an open ticket for it. They’re working to resolve this issue.

Bookkeeping Tip:

Always fill out a deposit ticket for your bank deposits!!
With everything in the banking world being computer automated now, we find many mistakes on a bank deposit receipt simply from the machine reading the check wrong!

You can hand write a deposit ticket, or use Quickbooks to prepare one for you to print off!

The first quarter of the year is almost over, the tax season rush is on. If you have been just treading water keeping your books in order but not really utilizing them to make them actually work for you, give me a call! We can get serious about your record keeping and make sure your P&L is as accurate as possible and maybe even save you some time next tax season! Have more time to do the fun part, the “work” and less time with the boring office stuff!

My phone has not been working.

Xfinity has resolved the issue and it is now working again!

(I added a new line to my cell phone plan and wanted to swap the numbers from one line to the other so my old cell phone number would be my business line, and the new number would be a private line. Well, let’s just say it was supposed to be easy, but 4 days later it wasn’t! We made it happen though and everything seems to be working like it should! )

With that being said, the business line will only be answered during my office hours, (8-3) otherwise I’ll respond the following day or next time I’m in the office.

📝 An update on the remodeling project of the office!
We deleted ❌🪟some windows, swapped the doors 🚪out, and replaced the remaining windows with vinyl. So thankful to have a carpenter 🔨 Dad, he’s pretty handy!
Next up, insulation and finish off the interior. Then, we might install some 🔥heat, you never know!

Now all I need is to take the NACPB payroll certification exam and I’ll be a CERTIFIED in payroll!

It was once a sun porch, and though that was nice during the summer, it’s time to convert it to a year round space! New windows, doors, and even some insulation are going in!
It won’t be perfect for this year, but it will be usable!
My dad is a jack of all trades, master of many! He is currently working a full time job, plus building a house for my brother on the weekends.
I managed to squeeze him out of both of those for one day to start my project.
He probably is second guessing himself and why he had children, or why he exposed his carpentry skills to them! Haha. He’s pretty “handy” to have around….. 😂🤪

Today, I’m working on getting 6 iPads set up to streamline the billing process.

This required ordering the iPads and their protective cases and screen protectors, (and installing them), installing apps, setting up accounts, and creating digital forms for the employees to use.
