The Gait ( walking) pattern is perhaps the MOST overlooked in mainstream fitness. Contralateral limb movement is what first wired our bodies and our brains together as infants, it made us strong and it can make you strong again.

Training your gait pattern through movements like farmer walks, deadbugs, crawling, and marching variations like the one shown is key to restoring and amplifying your strength and resilience to new heights. A strong gait pattern = a strong "Core" as these movements quite literally knit us together in ways no other movements can.

Here’s a cool Squatting reset courtesy of and . Aptly referred to as “The Terminator squat” 🦾 Similar to an Airborne lunge but adds in contra lateral gait and head movement. Feels great and boy does it get the glutes and quads fired up! Try them as a standalone exercise or as an awesome warmup before any squat or hinge work for a real performance boost! Enjoy👍🏽

There’s a concept in Economics that says what has been around longest will stay around longest. Think of “Blue Chip” stocks like Coca Cola and Berkshire .

Like the stock market, in training, You can choose to invest your time in any number of new, fun, flashy, enticing variations of the KB swing and reap short-term rewards but investing in the Blue Chip, the will yield the greatest returns longterm.

🚫Going through the motions, racing to finish a set, will only lead to injury, and produce lackluster results. Training too intensely to "feel the burn" from a workout will damage your long-term health - Free radicals produced from all too common acid baths are a real problem for your mitochondria, look it up.

The Get-Up or "Turkish" Get-up has been one of my favorite movements for years and the joy of teaching it to others can't be overstated. The first time students see it demonstrated, they don't believe they'll be able to do it, but I've taught people from 11 years old to 85 how to perform it.

It does take focus and patience to perform well, but this is something we need more of in training anyway. We need to stop rushing, we need to be intentional, and present, and we need to stop trying to force adaptation on our bodies and learn to allow for it through better movement, so the Get Up is the perfect teacher.

The beauty of the get-up is there are 7 phases, and can be broken up to meet you where you are until you can tie everything together, each and every segment carries its own benefits by practicing so you begin to reap rewards from day one!

Shout out to student of strength Ashley H. Very first time performing trap bar deadlifts today and only 8 weeks of strength training under his belt and he worked up to a very respectable 2x bodyweight lift ( 287lbs) ...Learning from day one how to generate full body tension and understanding that a well-knitted body is a strong and capable one, he's made tremendous progress and is well on the way towards his goals!!
