Sometimes eating healthy can be overwhelming. Sometimes we have to take it one meal at a time, and focus on getting as many whole foods into that meal as possible. That will naturally help us crowd out the junk and processed food and will help support our health.
Remember everything we put into our body either prevents disease or causes it!

You wonāt believe thisā but recently my 14 year old used an entire bag of my beloved EINKORN FLOUR to clean up a gas spill in the garage, from his dirt bike.
I was more upset over the Einkorn than I was about the gas spill. But grateful he took it upon himself to clean it up (kind of) Lol.
Soā I improvised with this batch of chocolate chip cookies and used measure for measure gluten free flour.
If you are gluten free, they are deliciousā but I have to say, nothing compares to Einkorn, if you only have a sensitivity to gluten.
I love making cookies with my children. Itās fun (and yummy) quality time, the house smells amazing and it somehow brings comfort, even in a time of chaos.
Spirituality is one of the foundational areas I work with my clients on, when they feel this area is unbalanced.
This is called primary food. Health doesnāt always come from the food on your plate. The food on our plates is called āsecondary foodā.
While I do give a great deal of focus to nutrition in my program while working with my clients, I also focus on things like spirituality, finances, home-cooking, physical exercise, career, education, joy, relationships, creativity, social life, home life and health. This, is the ācircle of lifeā. We determine which areas are lacking and then work closely together to set goals to achieve balance in these foundational areas. When the circle of life is balanced and your nutrition is the best that it can be, you can achieve true health and wellness!
You can eat all of the Kale in the world, but if you are missing a Key š foundational area in your life, you may not be living to your fullest potential.

Change. It can feel so hard. The uncertainty of it all can make you almost want to stay right where you are. Sometimes staying right where you are isnāt good for your health and sometimes you have no choice but to make a move.

Be careful not to define yourself as broken or damaged when you think or speak about yourself. You are not broken. Although your heart may be or may have been brokenā You are whole. You may have been hurt and betrayed, but you ARE healing and you WILL heal.
Whatever version of yourself you are at any given time is good enough. You are good enough. You are worthy of being loved, whether your wounds are still open and healingā¦ or whether you have scars.
Soā love yourself enough to speak life over yourself and define yourself in a positive wayā this mindset truly changes everything, and you will start to view yourself in a whole new way! š

Your body HEALS when you rest! Listen to your body. Try not to push yourself to exhaustion and rest when your body is telling you that need to.
Often when we feel exhausted we reach for sugar or caffeine to help us to keep goingā but what your body is really telling you is that it needs REST.
Sit downā take a napā¦ find peace and quiet in natureā¦on the beach or by a lakeā and donāt feel guilty about it for one second! Whatever rest looks like to you. Everything else can waitā¦ your healing comes first!
I truly hope you are able to danceā and breathe deep with the one you love.

If you are walking on egg shells or holding your breathā itās a sign that you may be in a toxic, abusive relationship.
Not all abuse is physical. Emotional abuse is often called āhiddenā abuse because itās much harder to recognizeā yet, the wounds that it leaves are very real and traumatic and can impact our lives and health in a very serious way.
A toxic relationship can make you very sickāand walking on egg shells and holding your breath are a sign!

Joy, by definition is the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune, or by the prospect of possessing what one desires; a state of happiness.
It is also one of the pillars of health that I work with my clients to balance. Joy is just as important as physcial exercise, relationships and the food on your plate.
We have two types of neurtotransmitters (dopamine and serotonin) in our brains which allow us to feel joy in our bodies. These chemicals are assosciated in a significant way to happiness. these neurotransmittes can be elveated by things like walking in nature, laughing with a child, or kissing a loved one. When these chemicals are released into your brain and spinal cord, its like a chain reaction with other systems in your body. For example you can affect your circulatory system and your nervous systemā and ultimately have an affect on your heart rate, breathing, digestion and even lower stress.
