Flower Clubs have started and I’m so excited! 💐✨
Something about beautiful flowers makes me want to sing. (A little more this season since the pest and disease pressure has been at an all time high).

A little start of the week update!

We are back from our little getaway to the North Woods - was definitely not long enough but nice to get away!
If you’ve never been Up North Wisconsin definitely check it out. 🌲🏕️

Fall flower clubs start this week, and the flowers are READY! 🥳 If you haven’t submitted your pickup days please do so! I can’t wait to get these blooms in your hands.

The Bloom Bar is still not painted - relying on other people has its drawbacks or something like that. Once that’s finished we can continue with the process. Hopeful but doubtful for a 2024 debut at this point, but time will tell!

Dahlia season is (almost) here!!! ✨🫶

I harvested my first vase of Dahlias today and it’s so exciting! Dahlias are a top 3 flower for me and having them back is like seeing an old friend.
However, it is a bit bittersweet because Dahlias love late summer weather. Once Dahlia season starts to ramp up it means summer won’t be here for too much longer.

Flower Update: We have a few dozen gorgeous Peony bouquets available this coming week and possibly into next. This will be your last chance until they are gone til next year!

I will be getting the flowers and vases together for our Nursing Home donation! Hoping to have things in place for Monday.

Twice a year here at The Cozy Acre, we “host” a pay it forward event.
We will nominate a local Nursing Home either randomly or together as a community and I will deliver the flowers to that nursing home.
For a $5 donation you can sponsor some flowers to give someone a flower hug!!

Your donation will help to fund a “bloom bar event” which will allow the residents to arrange their very own bouquet!
Each donation includes a jar/vase, individual stems and local delivery!

Also accepting “small” vase/jar donations!

We are starting to take donations now, as I’m hoping to deliver the flowers sometime next week!
Please comment a local nursing home or that you would like to nominate!

Hey there, welcome to my little slice of the internet!
I’m Karri, the blood, sweat and tears behind The Cozy Acre! I am also the dreamer, which is a job I take pretty seriously! (just ask my husband 😆). Our operations wouldn’t be possible without his unwavering support and countless “un-clocked” hours!!

I am the type of person that needs to be out in nature. It grounds me and helps me think clearly, which is why this job works for me!

When I’m not working in the flowers you can usually find me outside with my 3 young kids, catching up with my husband or swimming in the pool!

I try not to take life too seriously and my favorite mantra is “everything is as it should be”.
I am so thankful for everyone I have in my life and can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Although this species of Ladybug is not native to Wisconsin, I welcome it with open arms due to the MASSIVE amount of Aphids they eat!

There is always a risk for flower farmers when we choose to go the route of pesticide-free, insecticide-free.
But when these guys show up I know our flowers are in good hands! 🙌
