šŸ”„When I look at the changes Iā€™ve made in my life over the past 5 years, Iā€™m amazed but not surprised!šŸ”„

Hereā€™s why:

I practice what I preach!

I use the same process and techniques I teach my clients and I do these things DAILY.

I understand how the mind works and use it to my ADVANTAGE (the way it is meant to be used).

I understand the energy of thought and how to use it to create the life I want.

Most importantly I live by a vision of who I want to be and what I want to achieve.

I no longer live by fear.

These days I live life through love and excitement, and I care more about what ā€œcould beā€ rather than just ā€œwhat isā€.

When you understand how simple this process is and that it is available to all of us including you, your life will take on a new meaning and you will be amazed at what comes your way.

Your life will become your masterpiece you get to create.

I remember seeing this photo after my sonā€™s 1st birthday thinking ā€œIā€™ve become that guy.ā€
I was heavy and unfit with low energy and no real motivation to workout. I had been athletic my whole life and I did not know the person in the photo.

I was eating way too much and I was busy in my professional life. No matter how much I slept I was always tired and I just felt stuck. I definitely didnā€™t look like the dad I wanted to be, but I couldnā€™t see a way out.

I remember being conflicted because I loved being a dad, but I lost my sense of self. I was frustrated and embarrassed. I was not the example for my son that I wanted to be, and this was only year 1!

I would tell myself things like ā€œI donā€™t have the time to workoutā€, ā€œIf I go to the gym itā€™s selfishā€, ā€œI canā€™t do it allā€, ā€œIā€™ll get back to worrying about me at some pointā€.

This thinking gave me permission to continue with unhealthy habits, which put me in a worse position physically and mentally.

I remember theday I decided to change. That year I got back to working out consistently. I started to do some long distance running. Three years into my transformation I started competing in triathlons and almost a year after my first race, I completed my first Ironman.

Looking back over the last 15 years feels surreal. It fills me with pride to think of all the things Iā€™ve achieved as an Ironman Triathlete, therapist, coach and business owner.

The best part of my story is that my son got to see it all!

Meditation and visualization is the biggest part of my morning routine!

Itā€™s a practice I have nurtured and maintained since 2017.

To this day, my daily meditation and visualization practice has been one of three things I do that have created the most change in my life.

My daily meditation primes me energetically for the person I want to be and the things I want to create.

Meditation and visualization is something I love to teach my clients, because when you learn to use and manipulate the unlimited energy we have available to us, you have the ability to turn unlimited potentials into reality šŸ§ šŸ¦‹

šŸ”„Here are 5 life lessons I learnt as an Ironman triathletešŸ”„

1. In a race, just like life, I expected to hit tough times, but I also expected that I would get through them.

2. Mental toughness is a CHOICE you make, most people choose to get into the habit of quitting.

3. Worrying about the past or obsessing over the future is a waste of energy. Stay in the present moment, itā€™s the only time you can have any impact.

4. If you can teach yourself to push through the temporary tough times, the ultimate reward of reaching your goal will ALWAYS be worth it.

5. It all starts with the BELIEF that you can handle whatever challenge youā€™re facing. A deep belief in yourself will give you the focus you need to move forward.

In 2019 I began traveling around the world attending Dr Joe Dispenzaā€™s week long meditation retreats and have continued to do so every year, sometimes twice a year.

Age 32 - The guy on the left was struggling with balancing fatherhood, marriage, family and work-feeling the pressure of life. I was stressed, depressed, angry, confused and tired. I was trying to meet the needs of my family, working long hours, and trying to please everyone while neglecting myself. My self-esteem was in the toilet. I had no vision of the future and I didnā€™t know what made me happy anymore because I was lost. I had a ā€œgoodā€ life but I wasnā€™t happy.

Age 47- Fast forwardā€¦. I am fit and strong-physically, mentally and emotionally. I prioritize myself and my health. Iā€™m confident, disciplined, happy and free. This man is more loving, compassionate, patient and authentic. I am always looking forward because I am excited about life. I feel half my age and I can honestly say I love the person I have become.

How did I get here and stay here for the last 15 years? I discovered the power of meditation and hypnosis. It all begins and ends with the mind.

When we think a positive thought and add the energy of positive emotion, we chemically and neurologically change the architecture of our brain.

Overtime, optimism and positivity starts to entrain our brain to be more focused on solutions and the things we want to achieve rather than dwelling on what is.

CONSCIOUSLY choosing good feeling thoughts is a learned skill and takes practice šŸ§˜šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

When this practice becomes a habit, you create a change in personality, and a new personality creates new perspectives, behaviors, new possibilities and most importantly, a new personal realityšŸ¦‹šŸŒˆ
