As many people know, my page was hack'd on Christmas. I thought it was secure but I was recently made aware it was not. So, despite my attempts to salvage the page, I had to delete the old one and start new.

This means I am restarting with nothing - no page likes or follows, no check-ins, no reviews, nothing. If you followed my page before or have tried my pastries, please share this post to help others find me again. Hey friends 👋

I'm writing with a heavy heart, but I will be closing our doors in Zona Rosa as of the 1st of January. 😔

I'm sure this comes as a shock ... but for those who own a small business or have seen the background a little deeper... balance of personal and work is EXTREMELY difficult. 😫💔

Am I struggling? Yes. Things have slowly, since the summer, become EXTREMELY difficult with grocery increases, slower sales...
Could I continue pushing through? Yes, but it comes with great sacrifice to my family.

The main biggest reason IS my family. I have spent almost 4 yrs creating the bakery and truly been missing out on my children (2, 6 & 13). 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦
Working 6-7 days per week... 10-14 hours or more per day ... missing events, concerts, games, vacations, family nights ... the bakery is All or nothing. There is no half here and half there.
I love the bakery, but not at the sacrifice of my family.

So I'm taking that step back, and am headed back into the work world for a more steady pay and schedule.👩‍💻

Grrrrr........ getting stolen from is the MOST INFURIATING thing...

Yes, I work shop with myself or with one other person... That's how small business works....

And in the literal 2 seconds of grabbing something from the counter 3 feet away in the kitchen...
People shove goods in their coats and walk out.

It's disheartening ... hurtful on more levels than 1...

This isn't the first time ... the second... or even the third or fourth ..

It's exhausting.... I mean truly. 😔
