Katie's Way Plus Fairbanks and North Pole were able to give back to the community by donating blood with the Blood Bank of Alaska. Each team member was able to give one pint of blood, and learned that each pint can save three lives. Katie's Way Plus dedicates this donation to saving the lives of those who find themselves unexpectedly needing medical intervention. Thank you to the Blood Bank of Alaska for welcoming us with such open arms!

Katie's Way Plus Fairbanks/ North Pole team joined up with PAWS Search and Rescue this past Saturday to help some dogs with their scent training.

It was a beautiful day and the team had lots of fun hiding and letting the dogs come find them.

Katie's Way Plus Fairbanks & North Pole had a super busy weekend with the Stand Down event in Fairbanks! It was a wonderful all day event for veterans to come and see the resources available to them in the community. Liaison Hannah Henry and one of the awesome technicians were able to make some great connections in the community. We also had some very cute little helpers in attendance. 😊

Katie's Way, in Tacoma, Washington, attended an event with PNWVets at the historic Tacoma Armory, currently home to Tacoma Arts Live. This exceptional event provided an in-depth look at their innovative approaches to supporting both the younger and older generations. We engaged in emotion-focused activities that fostered self-reflection and personal growth. The experience left us all with a newfound understanding of our emotional capacities.
