Grateful to Rodney Weinzierl, Executive Director and Mike Homerding, Director of Illinois Corn Growers for putting together a meet and greet to learn more about what is affecting our farmers in the 14th Congressional District. Approximately, 1 billion bushels of corn leaves our state every year- 500 million are shipped on the Illinois River to be exported all over the world. Illinois corn also leaves the state via the upper Mississippi and Ohio Rivers as well as by rail. All important in giving Illinois and America a competitive edge.
