Approximately, 1 billion bushels of corn leaves our state every year- 500 million are shipped on the Illinois River to be exported all over the world. Illinois corn also leaves the state via the upper Mississippi and Ohio Rivers as well as by rail. All important in giving Illinois and America a competitive edge.

A: Bob Pilmer asked me to join during the original inception of the Yorkville Club. As an educator for 30 years, I felt the mission of and my passion for serving students was a perfect matchβοΈ I am thrilled Matt Dennison reached out to me during the reincarnation stage and I am very excited to be a part of the growing organization!
β β: What enjoyment do you experience as part of a service club?
A: My enjoyment comes from meeting new people, participating in group activities, and being around people that have a servant heart. β€οΈ At the end of the day all of the energy this group uses goes towards benefitting the youth of our community.
β β: What area of service do you most enjoy?
A: I love serving at . Meeting new people and creating new relationships is the coolest part of the event!

A: I am in and have been for 30 years. I currently serve as the of Schools for both Grundy and Kendall Counties.
β β: What special talents or hobbies do you have?
A: I grew up in a farm family. So I can drive just about any type of machinery imaginable. π As a matter of fact, my goal after retiring from education, is to go back and help a farm family during harvest season. πΎπ½ It is truly a magical time of the year. Also, having an Italian mother, I can make a mean pan of Lasagna! π
