One of my favorite actors was recently body-shamed under the guise of "concern for her health". Why is this? Was this person truly concerned for her health? The comment wasn't made about her blood pressure, or whether or not she was out of breath, or even about a medical condition. No, this person said the comment about her weight was linked to a concern about her health.

When will people wake up to the fact that "thin" doesn't necessarily mean healthy and "fat" doesn't necessarily mean unhealthy? I mean, if you didn't know that Venus Williams was a kick-ass athlete would you assume she was unhealthy because she's not a size 6? Does anyone remember that Bob Greene, who was the diet and fitness expert to celebs like Oprah and trainer on the Biggest Loser had a major heart attack at age 52?

In fact, underweight people have a GREATER risk of death than obese people according to a study, led by Dr. Joel Ray, a physician and researcher at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada, (published in the Journal of Epidemiology & Community Health).

Skinny isn't always healthy and fat isn't always unhealthy. It's time to stop feeding the LIE.
