Hey dolls, I just wanted to take some time to educate y’all a bit about nail refills. People tend to believe that nails should last up to a month or more & in some cases they can & they do. However it is not safe! Just like your lash extensions need a fill at two to three week your nails do as well. I recommend a fill every 3 weeks to keep your nails looking healthy.
When you go too long without a refill:
• nails will lift
• water & dirt can get underneath & bacteria will grow
• nail infections
• if nail grows too far out it will throw off the strength of your real nail which if you hit against anything or apply pressure your real nail can crack underneath
Any of these will result in not being able to apply a new nail set.
The best thing to do is to schedule a fill every 2-3 weeks with your nail technician and follow proper aftercare.
Also after 6 to 8 weeks of proper refills is always good to soak the nails off & check for healthy nails which means no type of discoloration or abrasions on them then a new set is recommended.
