Our next vendor whose services are included in both our elopement and all-inclusive packages is Batter-Up Bake Shoppe! I'm gonna be honest... WE LOVE CAKE. And we REALLY love Jaime's cakes! She does not disappoint! She baked us a sample cake, and... I'm a little ashamed at how many times I cruised by it on the counter and took a bite straight out of the box 🙈 Her cake will give your guests the fuel (sugar rush?) they need to dance the night away! Plus, I don't have to say it because you can see for yourself, but they're delicious AND beautiful! What sweeter way to start a life with your better half? Because let's be real, you're muffin without them!

"I was gifted my first Polaroid camera for my 10th birthday and that sparked a hobby that has continued for many years! I’ll keep the number of years a secret, but I’m pretty sure that Polaroid reference gives it away. 🤣

When my husband and I were dating we spent countless hours driving Kentucky’s backroads. I must have taken thousands of pictures on those drives; and I’m certain the number of times I yelled “Stop! Go Back! I need to take a picture" of a random fence row, flower field, or to***co barn drove the fella plum crazy. He was always happy to do so, and I knew then he was a keeper. 😉

Lloyd and I share this beautiful thing called life with our 4 year old son Damon (aka “Bubby”) who we fostered for 2.5 years, and then adopted in 2023. ❤️ That little fella is so full of life and he keeps us on our toes. Damon recently received his first camera and has started his own photography journey capturing moments with his Aussie Doodle “Oscar”, Thomas & Friends trains, and favorite Blippi & Meekah episodes. I like to tell folks he is my Second Shooter in Training 📸

"Photography is my obsessive passion and even that is a fierce understatement. I have studied and practiced both film and digital photography for nearly 20 years! Although I have 10 years of full time, self-employed experience and have captured any genre of portraits imaginable, I do practice artworks outside of the photography realm. These include cyanotype processing, simple drawings, variations of painting, screenprinting, minor woodwork, ceramics, collaging and more!

My love for photography, specifically preserving a blissful moment in time, stems directly from the passing of my parents at an incredibly young age. I was just 19 when my mother died and only 3 weeks after my 24th birthday when my father passed away too. I wish it was the only death I would come to know, but sadly, my brother, 2 of my best friends, countless classmates, all of my grandparents and most recently finding my boyfriend of 7 years and soon to be husband, deceased, has left my world feeling dull and lifeless.

I allow my artwork to flow freely from my mind, body and soul in return allowing me to see all things FIERCE. I seek and stumble upon beauty of all forms in all the expected and unexpected places that I find myself. I am guided by the shadows and lights. I find peace in bright and vibrant colors. I feel close to the abandoned and the broken. My goal with my art is simply to see things in a FIERCE new way! My portrait work is quite similar, for the goal and end result is always the same, YOU seeing yourself in an entirely FIERCE new way.

I take advantage of confusing locations, outlandish materials, anything with texture, all the colors, nature itself and so much more to influence my many works. I give credit to all that I have lost and all that I have gained throughout my journey, to my angels and most importantly, the Big Man upstairs!
