I recently returned from a 6400+ mile jaunt around the country. Here are a few photos from the trip. 7 nights in Omaha, NE; 2 nights in Belgrade, MT; 3 nights in Nampa, ID; and no more than 1 night in any other location.

I took a nice little ride into Virginia today. I hit a few minutes of rain toward the end, but nothing major. The temp was just right. I've got a something special coming up -- a ride that was supposed to happen 2 years ago...

I qualified for this quite some time ago. I just never got around to applying for the certificate. Anyway, here it is, in all its glory. I hope to earn Silver level later this year.

So I got creative, and drew a heart for Valentine's Day. It got really cold by the time I got home. The last picture is of my GoPro, which was mounted up front, next to my windshield. For the record, the windshield also had ice across the top.

I ran over a skunk about an hour ago, and I may have to get rid of this bike.

While I'm no saint, I do aspire to do saintly things. Meanwhile, my friend Chris Hopper is out there setting the bar high -- really high! Hop is raising money to help in the fight against Duchenne muscular dystrophy. He is raising awareness (and funds) by riding his motorcycle 100,000 miles in 100 days. This man is a beast! I believe he's already a good bit over 25,000 miles, and showing no signs of slowing down.

Well, Hoagy, I'm loaded and ready to head your way in a couple days. I have about 18 gallons of tabs for the Hoagy's Heroes tab run. I'll be coming in hot!

It has been a crazy year so far. I've been extra busy at work trying to earn road trip money, and I just haven't been able to get out on the road.
However, I did get a chance to make a couple nice discoveries today:
1. My bike still runs.
2. I still remember how to ride.
Now I just need to find an open road.

I was able to get out last week, on a 3400 mile ride around the South. My plan got interrupted by an emergency, and I had to reverse my direction. I still managed to make the most of it, and saw a lot of beauty along the road. Here are some of my favorite photos from the ride.

Back on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (January 18). I did a 1000 mile run, while stopping at 5 locations along the Civil Rights Trail. This was an awesome ride, sponsored by the IBA, and brought to reality by the hard work of my friend, Ksolo DaRyder. I got my certificate in the mail yesterday.

At the beginning of 2020, I had only earned 1 of these pins/patches. In fact, I had no plans to earn the other 2. Accidents happen, however, and look at me now. 😃 ⚜️⚜️
