Somehow, these birds even smelled like broth while butchering!

We had a few people buying them before we could try them and they would rave at how delicious they were…

Then I tried one…

These are averaging between 5-8 lbs, some bigger and a few smaller.

I threw a 6lb 12 oz bird in the crockpot with some butter, a little water, lemons and salt and pepper. This was for a soup but this 6 lb chicken had plenty of meat on his bones, so I split the meat into the crockpot for soup, put some aside for street tacos later in the week and make a couple batches of bone broth in the pressure cooker.

I don’t think I’ve had better chicken!

Hi all! We’re back. The summer flew by and seemed to sweep us up with it. This week we will be butchering some meat chickens and next week we’re hoping to be back to baking. If you’d like to reserve some of our free range meat chickens please comment below or message us. Up to 4 lbs will be $5/lb, 4-6lbs will be $20 and 6+ lb birds will be $25. Thank you for your continued support.

We skipped out on the market early because of the rain, but we still have plenty of bread, sourdough cinnamon rolls, goat cheese, etc.! Message us if you need some yummy homemade stuff for this weekend!

We’re getting ready for the Burns Market! Come out and see us tomorrow from 12-3 in Burns!

We will not be at the Burns Market this Saturday, but our sweet rolls will be! Stop by The Family Farm booth and William can sell you some sweet rolls! We also have plenty of honey wheat bread, honey white bread, cookies and sourdough cinnamon rolls all frozen in order to keep fresh. Message or text us and we can schedule a time for pickup or delivery this week!

We’re loaded up with a bunch of goodies and these girls! Digger, Julie and Smokie get to be in the petting zoo!

Another sneak peek! Whipped tallow balm! Soothing lavender, frankincense and lemon make for an amazing all purpose balm!

A sneak peek of the non edible items we will have at Burns day! These goat milk soap and tallow bars smell amazing, feel amazing and clean hands marvelously! Cold processed with goat’s milk from our farms, tallow from beef we processed and rendered and carefully chosen oils, these soap bars are a staple in our homes!

Burns Day is Saturday!!We’ll have a booth in the vendor area and will have lots of baked goods and more! Stop by in the morning for a warm, fresh cinnamon roll!

Our baking is a family affair! There are kiddos running around, making forts, jumping on the trampoline and just doing kid stuff all while we are baking. But once in a while, they pause just long enough in the kitchen to wash hands and help! They make great little helpers ❤️
