Giving this old gal some love

Momma’s truck getting some much needed love.
Bringing in the newest member of the fleet, have not yet decided on a name and some changes will be made. For now this how she will work.
Original issue was fuel mixing with oil, somebody wasn’t paying any attention when installing the seal rings and o-rings on this injector.
Replacing all 6 injectors but do you see what i see?
Photo dump of some of the work I have been doing lately.
Be careful who you allow to work on your expensive rigs. I found this on an ISX CM871 with less than 1000k mi on an out of frame rebuild. New short block. When replacing the timing actuator, they installed a fueling actuator in its place. Although they look identical, they are not. Even the plugs are different, which they removed the insert so they could incorrectly plug it in.
If anyone on the mountain needs an experienced tech to look after their fleet or any owner operators need someone close by that will take care of your money makers like they should be.
I have experience with just about every make and model engine that are used in on highway trucks. Computer diagnostics, gear train, brakes, in frames, out of frames, brakes and much more. Reach out to me anytime to schedule an appointment or if you’re broke down on the side of the road in BFE, WV at 2am, I will do my best to get you back up and running as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Gotta love going behind someone’s work after a complete out of frame overhaul and find the dumbest issue.
Engine overhaul finished approximately 1mo and been smoking and idling rough entire time since. Builder states “Probably has a sticking injector, a few drive cycles and she’ll clear up.” Umm nope come to find out this yahoo replaced the timing actuator with fueling actuator and went as far as removing terminal plug insert to be able to plug it in. 🤦♂️ Like he actually had to try and f**k it up. Hopefully the rest of the rebuild isn’t done with this kind of ignorance… End Rant, have a nice day…
Just a little photo dump of some stuff I’ve been working on.
A little before and after on project LS Land Cruiser, First set of pics is from shop that did the engine swap. Coming right along just need to finish tail pipe.
New head for the ISX
Giving the ol’ girl some love
Didn’t take as many pictures as I’d like, but did some work on a Subie today, calipers, pads, and rotors from power stop. Also did the lower control arms but used White Side ball joints as well as white side tie rod ends. The RH LCA had a broken keeper bolt in the knuckle that i had to drill out heat up and weld a washer and nut to remove. Car came from Connecticut so rust was my enemy today, but the blue wrench and welder fixed all of that. Sunday funday
Doing a little fan hub upgrade on an ISX 11.9
Showing some TLC to this ol’ Mack RD688S, just a $3,500 unit…
Doesn’t have to be a diesel for me to fix it, found a faulty crimped eyelet for supply voltage to aftermarket fuel pump relay, then repaired the hose connection in sending unit as it was not delivering any fuel to regulator. All good now, pretty good running truck.
Some more work pictures, some of the shop “race truck”
Showing some much needed love to th ol’ girl. More yet to come…
