Opening this week: Carly Zywno's "Inter-Sect." Carly says about the exhibit, "Our days are saturated with images. On television, on our phones, on 672 square foot panels obscuring the sky above the highway. Images seemingly haunt our peripheries at all times. Pining for our precious attention. By cutting out and re-contextualizing these images, I can assert a certain power over their originally intended purpose." Join Carly for Open Studio Night & Gallery Reception this Friday from 6 PM - 8 PM, and Meet the Maker: Carly Zywno this Saturday at 5 PM for a chance to hear about her work.

My first matted and framed pieces for my show at Lowe Mill in January. It’ll be up 1/14/2020-2/29/2020 and the reception will be the evening of January 17th at 6pm in the first floor gallery. I hope you can make it if you’re in the north AL area!

Finally finished making this frame and all the matting by myself rather than paying someone else a bunch to do it for me! Im going to be in the Embracing Arts show again this year at the Carnegie Visual Arts Center in Decatur, AL. Opening day is March 19th and it’ll be open through April 27th. Admission is free so you should definitely check it out if you’re in town! @ Decatur, Alabama

“Your Life is Covered” with be in the 2018 FL3TCH3R Exhibition in a couple of weeks! It’s a show for socially and politically engaged art and will be in Tennessee so maybe I’ll be able to make it this time.
