Congratulations Melissa on your wedding last weekend! 🎉 We were able to celebrate the weekend before with wine, cheese and a view

Enjoy some of the incredible wines they offer especially a refreshing Pinot Grigio on hot days like today.

Wineries are open for outdoor tasting! Our group took a personal tour of the Estate Pinot Noir Vineyards with own winemaker learning about their sustainability practices. Afterward we indulged in newly released wine while hearing stories of the winery and their unique wine making process.

Turkey 🦃!!! Just picked up my farm fresh pasture raised turkey! The holidays are a great time to support local farms! Unfortunately, they are sold out from but there are lots of other places like or for fresh meat. All your holiday fixings from produce, dairy and seafood can all be found locally this holiday season!

What an amazing group of women I had the pleasure of hosting yesterday! We had a day filled with sustainable education and tasty treats!

Stop #1 to meet the chickens and animals then delight in a fresh quiche with their eggs.

Stop #2 where we learned about dairy farming and of course ate all the cheese and grilled cheese.

Stop #3 to savor a blue glass tasting of Oregon olive oil.

Holding a chicken just brings a smile to anyone’s face! 🐓

Marion Acres and Helvetia Farm Market is a family run farm and farm store, offering pasture-raised, grass fed artisan meats. Their meat and farm fresh eggs are local, humane and sustainable.

Marion Acres and Helvetia Farm Market is now the only farm in the US that offers the complete on farm experience from raising a day old chick, seeing it through humane processing, and finally offering cuts & sliced deli meat inside their on-farm market.

Come see the farm and learn about how they raise their animals on the Taste of Willamette Valley or Dairy Experience Tour.

Farm 2 Fork is all about knowing where your food comes from by connecting the community with their local farmers. Visiting local farms and going to your near by farmers markets are a great way to enjoy foods at their seasonal peak or try something new. grows an abundance of different vegetables and herbs like nettle and teaches you to cook with every park of the plant!
has an amazing working farm and teaches classes but also makes a great point that even they go to Costco! We can’t eat everything local and I’ll be the first to admit I don’t but all we can do is try and buy what we can locally and educate ourselves of the producers who aren’t. I make my weekly grocery store runs but got some local wine and cheese on the coast this week as well as went to my local farmers market.

I couldn’t do this business without the amazing people I’ll be partnering with so I wanted to start introducing them. Meet Ginger and Brigham, owners of Oregon’s only tea farm. They focus on health and wellness and have created not only amazing tea grown in their gardens but a beautiful coastal retreat center. You can purchase their tea online or check out their Instagram for what farmers markets they will be at. We can’t wait to walk the gardens and sip tea with them soon.

Picked up some goodies last weekend at a few local farms! The meat and cheese from TMK came in handy for Cinco de Mayo. Been eating fresh eggs each morning for breakfast and used the bread to dip in my home made lentil soup!

Rainy days are perfect for grilled cheese and is serving them up hot. This working farm and creamery not only sells grilled cheese from their farm fresh cheese but you can enjoy it with a local beer. TMK is a family run farm and dairy believing in the importance and duty to be stewards of the land they live and work on, treating their animals with utmost care and share the entire process to learn where your food comes from. We are excited they will be one of the stops on our Taste of Oregon Tour! @ TMK Creamery

Farm boxes are a great way to support local farms. I picked this one up after a hike on Sunday(I was also told I needed to show my face more) and can’t wait to make something. I’m thinking quiche! There are so many great places in the PNW delivering them or doing curb side pick up like or

What’s for breakfast? Now that I am not rushing to work in the morning I have been able to get up and go for a run and make myself eggs. I will admit my eggs are boring so looking for some suggestions on your favorite breakfast egg dish? And remember and are all selling fresh farm eggs.

Can you find the queen? Allergy season is upon us so remember eating unfiltered, unheated, raw honey produced within your area, (50-mile radius or less) is like receiving a natural anti-allergy shot! Just another way to support local and stay healthy!

Let’s talk cheese! This picture’s from one of the stops on my Dairy Experience tours. They make amazing cheese that you can enjoy at home. Their cows along with other farmers cows, sheep and goats don’t stop producing milk which in term with the current situation means the milk and cheese is not being distributed and sold. Support local and check out the farms sites (tags in picture) for their operating hours or head to your local market and pickup some cheese and milk to start your weekend and keep them still in business! -farming

Throwback to my first garden. I always had vegetable gardens growing up but this was my first one out of college and even though I only had a little patio I still wanted my very own garden with fresh fruit and vegetables I could use when cooking! It’s been a family tradition to go to the farmers markets, I love meeting the farmers, checking out what’s in season and then going home to craft a delicious meal. Support your local farmers and buy local! That’s also Chloe, she’s 15 now.
