While it can be alot of inspiration and ideas, doom scrolling can also have a significant impact on our mental health. As a wedding planner, I see this pattern often, and I want to share some insights on why it’s important to be mindful of your scrolling habits.

let’s talk about the overwhelming amount of information available. TikTok is filled with wedding tips, DIY projects, and real wedding stories that can be both exciting and daunting.

While it’s natural to want to gather as much information as possible, the sheer volume can make you feel like you’re not doing enough or that you’re missing out on the “perfect” ideas.

This can lead to excessive comparison and feelings of inadequacy, which is never a good place to be when you’re trying to create a joyful celebration.
Next, let’s consider the impact of unrealistic expectations. Many TikTok videos showcase picture-perfect weddings, often curated to highlight only the best moments. It’s important to remember that these snippets don’t tell the full story.

Embrace the inspiration, but don’t let the scrolling spiral into stress. Focus on creating a day that reflects you and your partner, free from the pressures of comparison. Remember, your wedding is a celebration of your love, and that’s what truly matters!
