Hi there! As promised, here is the list of award nominated books for grades 4-5.
Even though these students are more independent, still try to carve out the time to have them read to you and even take turns reading.
Itโs great to model reading , and reading together will show you how fluently your child can read, comprehend, and use context clues. Plus, you get to experience the content of what your child is reading.
If you canโt do this daily, at least try 2-3 times per week. It will make a world of difference!

Do you want to know the secret sauce to molding knowledgeable, resourceful, and creative children? If so, keep reading!๐
I recently saw a local news report about a new teacher who returned to teach at the same elementary school she attended in 5th grade. She became a teacher because of one of her teacher's profound impact on her.
This story reaffirms the importance of the work that educators and parents do.
I believe the secret sauce to creating successful adults is to make them early readers. Students who enjoy reading will, most often than not, become life-long learners.
It's undeniable that readers are leaders! So let's show the children in our lives how to lead by reading to them and allowing them to read to us.
