Lindsey Bohn Violin Performance and Lessons

I leave for Eastern Ukraine Tuesday to do humanitarian work and perform beautiful Ukrainian music on my violin for Military Hospitals and refugee centers.

I went to Ukraine last year several times and performed for various refugee centers and provided humanitarian help. It was some of the most treasured memories of my life ♥️ I am excited to serve the people again!

Donna and Stoneys wedding was held at the Church of Dirt which is a church in the middle of no where. It quite literally is made of dirt and has a gorgeous view overlooking the various Utah valleys and mountains.

I hosted my semi-annual Suzuki recital last night! This is where my students have an opportunity to present their most difficult pieces and perform them for friends and family. I currently have 19 students right now, 14 of which performed last night! I am so proud of them and all of their hard work! ♥️🎻😊

“I grew up playing the piano and while I love it very much now, I didn’t choose it for myself, nor did I practice with much in mind besides fulfilling a duty. Now that I am 37 years old, I decided to choose a new instrument to learn, one I have always loved the sound of whether it be in classical, Celtic, or current music. I enjoy the progress and beauty in practicing and performing, and learning violin has helped me remember how much I have to be humble about and given me excitement for who I could become through hard work.

Since I have told only my closest family members I am learning, in a few years I hope to whip out my violin and surprise all my friends. I love surprises almost as much as music. 😊

This wedding was during the fall so there was a nip in the air. The ceremony was next to a waterfall and pond. It truly was picturesque!

Backyard weddings can be so beautiful if well manicured! This wedding was a backyard wedding in Kearns, Utah. It was so lovely and there was no venue expense! It was lovely performing for this wedding. 💒 ♥️

To the man that taught me how to play violin! 🎻 My dad is a professional violinist. When I was a child he was a performer on the River Walk in San Antonio, Texas. He bought our first house through teaching violin and performing for tips. He now has a children’s music school in Temecula California that he built from scratch starting 10 years ago. This video is a tribute to Ukraine. As many of you know, I went over to Ukraine to serve the refugees 2 months ago. I got appendicitis the third day and had to go into emergency surgery. I wasn't able to serve the Ukrainians as I had hoped. This video is my ways of showing my love, respect, and appreciation for these strong people. I am proud of them and pray for their liberation from Russia soon!

New blog post: The Story of a Violin Teacher

I have loved playing violin my whole life. It was a challenging instrument that I felt like I should master. Years and years of practicing helped me to hone my skills and discover what I was capable of! What I didn't know during my childhood and teenage years of practicing was just how much it would pay off one day!

After attending my first semester of college I came home for a few months break before my second semester. During that time at home my dad handed me 10 students from his music school, Temecula Conservatory of Music, to teach violin lessons to. At first I felt so intimidated! I was teaching alongside professionals and teachers that had years of teaching experience. But I soon realized how much I loved helping these children become amazing musicians!

Over the past 7 years I have taught violin lessons and I continue to enjoy my students and all that I learn from them! What I have loved the most has been seeing them overcome difficult songs after working so hard. I have loved watching children discover their potential and their love for music. After years of practicing I can help others walk the same path I did as my profession! I have come to love these kids and I am so thankful to be a violin teacher!
