🌟 Member Monday Spotlight: Harper Chen🌟

Meet Harper, an international law attorney at an NGO based in Washington, DC. Originally from Taiwan, Harper's journey to the US for her legal education was made possible by a full scholarship supported by the Taiwan Ministry of Education and Washington University School of Law.

⚖️ Harper's work focuses on researching international law and policy matters, providing legal counsel and guidance to her nonprofit organization. She holds a Juridicae Scientiae Doctor (J.S.D.) from Washington University School of Law and a Master of Arts from National Taiwan University. Licensed to practice in New York, Harper takes pride in being a female minority and a first-generation attorney.

📚 Advice for International Students: Embarking on the journey of studying at a law school, passing the bar exam, and practicing law in a foreign country with a second language is a formidable challenge. However, it also presents an invaluable opportunity to offer a distinct and diverse viewpoint. By embracing this journey, you not only acquire the essential tools to thrive in diverse legal environments but also deepen your understanding of cultural nuances and global legal frameworks.
