After a long time of thinking about it, I have came to the conclusion that this will be the best thing to do for a bit.

I haven't been able to properly meet the demand of the Satin Buff, and it makes me feel terrible making you all wait.

Since I'm focusing on learning everything I can about hair, I'm not currently able to fit sewing in my schedule.

Once I get to be more stablished in my career I will be reopening the store. I might or might not be the one directly creating the things, but I will ensure I have enough and that the quality won't be compromised.

As for now, once we are out of stock of the Satin Buff, that will be the time I will close the store until further notice.

What is your staple summer hairstyle?

Mine is the pineapple. I use headbands, clips, twist, many other things to make these pineapples pop.

And if you don't, chances are that your hairstyles usually don't last more than a day.

Ever since I started protecting my hair at night, I get to reach constants day 3 and even 4.

How you protect your hair at night?

It doesn't matter if it's a buff, a bonnet, a scarf, a turban, or just a satin pillowcase with/without a scrunchie, it is essential to protect your hair while sleeping to help it:

> Reduce frizz
> Reduce split ends
> Keep moisture in
> Prolong your hairstyle

Btw, it is important to emphasize that not every hair protection type works for everyone.

Based on my observations:
> Buffs tend to work for looser curls.
> Bonnets tend to work for tighter curls.
> Turbans and scarves I've seen a mixture of both.
> Satin pillowcase with/without scrunchie tend to work for in between longer curls (3a-3b).

*Of course this is not the norm all the time, but it's what I've seen. Have you noted the same thing?

Do you wear a buff?

Did you know this is the Satin Buff?

This buff doesn't employ the same fabric used in common buffs. The fabric used is stretchy like a buff but it has a satin finish.

Do you wear bonnets?

Did you know that this one has a drawstring so you can adjust it to your head size?

Also, this one is reversible so you can use either color.

Bonnets were the first thing I started doing in Curly & Elegant Handmade, and surprisingly they are the items that that the most time to make. However, whenever I see the final results, I love it!

A good updo and with a hair accessory makes it a great updo.

I'm not the best at creating updos for me, so if I make a mistake, I can easily cover it up with a headband.

I mean, am I the only one who does this? 🙈

Love making things in different colors. However, white and black are two colors I struggle to create with.

I know most people love and wear those two colors, but I just find myself never using them in my items. I guess I have to start doing a white and black collection soon.

Whenever I have a bad hair day (or maybe is too hot), I would use my spiral hair tie or a satin scrunchie.

Pineapples and messy buns are just my solutions to everything!

When I first did these headbands, I instantly became in love with them.

The reason was that I had the ability to make different designs and mix different colors.

Although the process of creating these garments sometimes feels heavy, seeing the final results always fills me with joy.

Are you more of a headband or a scrunchie type of person?

I tend to use more headbands because I'm usually wearing my pineapple, but when I want to go a bit fancy, I go with a scrunchie.

Now with the heat of summer showing up, I'm starting to do more updos, what about you?

When I first started the store, one of the things that I always found in the web, was people asking:

"What do you want to show with your brand? What do you want to portray to the world with it?"

The answer was simple. I wanted people to have something special and unique. Something made with love.

Because of that, I decided to place in my creations something that would make people feel special every time they saw it.

I didn't want people to see just a brand name for their product.

Those are the words that helped me when I didn't had a healthy self-esteem. When I didn't love myself.

In the beginning, those words felt fake. But the more I said them, the more they became a reality, and the kinder I was to myself.
