Dear William Raveis Family,

I've been visiting Nantucket for over 40 years and still think it's the most beautiful place on earth. Historic Brant Point Lighthouse, the second-oldest lighthouse in the country, is one of my favorite spots on the island.

Our connection with the Nantucket community runs deep. We opened our Main Street office ahead of the curve and have supported local organizations like the Nantucket Historical Association (NHA) for many years. At William Raveis, we believe in giving back-it's part of our caring culture, everywhere we grow and expand our footprint.

Last week, I joined our William Raveis team for Nantucket by Design, NHA's biggest fundraising gala. As a proud sponsor, William Raveis is helping the museum in its mission to educate and preserve Nantucket's rich heritage. By the way, Robert Young's social media series is an excellent example of using local history to create something out of the ordinary to build a brand. You'll be inspired.

At our office meeting on Thursday, we discussed ways to leverage our luxury brand and the state of the rental market. William Raveis was voted Best of Nantucket two years in a row for good reason. Best Agents and growing with top talent along with Best Location in the heart of town. To get a sense, just count the number of people (and cars) that pass by during my short video interview. Additionally, we have the Best Advertising to help agents win business. Our #1 ads appear in N Magazine, Nantucket Home, Nantucket Today and more!

Best Marketing. Since April, we've had 1,600 Maxa orders totaling over 600,000 printed pieces (ranging from 50 brochures to 5,000 postcards), and social activity is tremendous-9,000+ posts to date. And breaking news...soon we're releasing a much-in-demand digital newsletter in Maxa that is agent-branded. Highlighting local events gives you another way to reach your SOI & BDA. Christa's training begins in early August, so please check Tell-All Tuesday for class schedule.

At our Southport office last week, nearly 100 agents and managers, including myself, Ryan Raveis, Ray Cashen, Tammy Felenstein, Al Filippone, and marketing staff welcomed William Ge**er, First Selectman of Fairfield. He presented The Official Proclamation, naming June 7, 2024, 'William Raveis Day' in the Town of Fairfield.

We are thrilled! In addition to the Connecticut Proclamation from Governor Lamont, our achievements have been recognized by the community members of the town where I grew up...it's very special. Remember, William Raveis agents bring a lot of value with real estate, mortgage, and insurance all under one roof. And, we have been doing this successfully since 1974.

On a personal note, William Raveis Day is no ordinary day - it's also my father's birthday. He was the person who suggested I change the name to William Raveis Real Estate from Yankee Realty Company. Looking back, it was a wise decision and a gift that I thank Dad for every day.

In his statement, Mr. Ge**er said, "There may be no more important business in a municipality than a local real estate office, where the Realtors know the history and the streets, the beaches and the parks, the schools, and the businesses. For 50 years, William Raveis Real Estate has offered that kind of intimate knowledge to both sellers and buyers and has been a respected, integral part of the Town of Fairfield. I am proud to proclaim June 7, 2024 William Raveis Day."
