I’m so excited to finally announce that I’ve moved to a new brokerage and joined Howe Realty!

At the beginning of the year I signed off social media with the intention to fast, detox, and pray into what God wanted to do in 2023, personally and professionally.

Almost immediately I knew God was calling me to transition but how and where I had no idea. Thinking I knew what the transition looked like, I left the team I had been on and was back to being a solo agent at my brokerage.

Shortly after I was grabbing coffee with Gronewold Real Estate who I’ve know since like 4th grade. We were talking business and I had mentioned my transition. He quickly invited me to come check out what his brokerage had to offer because he thought it would be a good fit.

The MOMENT I stepped foot into their office I knew this was home. The people, the culture, the teamwork, the systems and technology, it was everything I was wanting and needing. I always pray for Godly wisdom, discernment, and peace and I can say without question the Lord ordered my path that day.

As soon as I was able to, I dove right in and have not been disappointed one time. I’m so excited to continue to learn, grow, and see what the future holds. So with that said LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!! Who wants a new house??

To successfully reach a goal, it's important to have a “why”. A “why” is a deeper, more meaningful reason behind what you want to achieve.
If you are considering homeownership, you need to know your WHY.

What’s YOUR reason for wanting to buy a house?

- You’ve always dreamed of homeownership
- You’re ready to settle down
- You’re getting married
- You’re tired of paying someone else’s mortgage
- You need more space
- You want to do a fix-and-flip
- You want more control over renovations
- You want to build equity

If you are buying a house to do a fix-and-flip, you may look for a home that needs repairs, but can be ready completed in a short timeframe, and has a price point that has a good ROI (return on investment).

If you are buying a home to start a family, you may look for something that has a warm and homey feel, is close to work/in a good school district, and has enough space to grow into.

As you can see, these two home wishlists are very different!

Whatever your reason may be, it’s important to always remember your “why” throughout the home buying process. Knowing your “why” will help you to figure out your priorities and what you need in a home.

Reflecting on your “why” also helps you to look at the end-goal, which will keep you motivated, determined, and inspired, even in a crazy market.

As I relaunch this page I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself to anyone that may not know me. My name is Scott Jakeway, I am married to my beautiful wife Alicia Jakeway and we have 2 incredible kids, Makenna and Mason.

I've been doing real estate since 2019 and a couple things you should know about me:

- Although I love real estate, my faith and family are my biggest passions! We love to eat and watch movies together while laughing and making memories. God is #1 in our family and we all are very involved at our church.

- I absolutely LOVE my job! My #1 mission is to help my clients through the home buying and selling process and ensure they are well taken care of through every real estate transaction.
