ALL THE BEST TO THE CANDIDATES FOR MONROE COUNTY & THANK YOU

As we come down to the end of this campaign I’ve been reflecting on the journey all candidates have been in, especially with the COVID 19 pandemic.

I want to wish the best of luck to all of the candidates. I feel that all of the candidates are decent community minded people who have the best interest for our county, at heart no matter what our political differences may be. I considered these candidates my friends before we were running for public office and hope to continue our friendships no matter what who voters elect.

No matter who you may vote for please VOTE!

I am not a politician, I'm a Monroe County citizen who decided I needed to be more personally involved! I just simply want to continue to help people and that's what I do and what I love to do!

I want to help the people I would serve to be integrated into our community more. I will always keep an open mind and try to balance needs versus wants with compassion for each individual client. I will listen when no-one else would and follow through.

As the Administrator for the Paris Senior Center I have written grants and been rewarded grants. This will be helpful with the clients I would serve as funding is becoming harder to get because of the Corona virus. I already have several personal contacts and resources available

That's why as Public Administrator you can put your trust in me to truly care for those individuals that I would be responsible for.

Hello I’m Tara Garside Democratic candidate for Monroe County Public Administrator. You probably know me as the Administrator of the Paris Senior Center. Before I decided to run for the office of Public Administrator, I consulted with the Senior Center Board and they gave me their full support, if elected to the position, I could still be Administrator of the Senior Center. Senior citizens are my priority and the majority of people in need of the Public Administrator's help. I want to assure you I will give both positions the dedication and devotion they demand. I ask for your vote for Tara Garside Monroe County Public Administrator.

I was born in Lynnwood California in 1970. I grew up in Moberly, MO. I moved to Paris in 2004. I am a dog mom to Laylalu my Basset Hound. I am the Administrator for Paris Senior Center for the last nine years.
I enjoy gardening, fishing and being on our beautiful Mark Twain Lake.

I will work hard to learn the in's and out's of the reporting required to maintain our Monroe County's eligibility for housing, financial and medical assistance. Working with Social Services, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Social Security, Probate Court and The Department of Metal Health. I will commit all that is necessary for the special needs of our court appointed wards with dignity and compassion.

I feel as though I am already on the front lines with our Seniors and Disabled with my job currently. It just seems as though this is a "perfect fit." My main concern is the health, safety and well-being of those I will serve.

I will continue to stay at the Paris Senior Center if I am elected as Monroe County's Public Administrator. Should the need for assistance become evident my plan will be to hire a part-time Secretary. This will allow me more time to be in the field helping with the needs of those I serve.

Lastly I would like to explain to the voters the reason I have not been out to Candidate speakings. As the Administrator of the Paris Senior Center I feel as though it is my responsibility to keep our Seniors as safe as possible during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Being in larger crowds would make me more susceptible to contracting the virus. If my staff or myself were to contract the virus, we would then have to quarantine for at least 14 days. This would mean the resident's in our community that rely on us for their Meals On Wheels and Curbside Pick-Up would be without our services. This is just a chance that I'm not willing to take! Feel free to call and talk with me if you have any questions.

Thank you. Your vote would be appreciated.
