There’s a need for seed on the Gulf Coast and here at PBO Company we are trying to fulfill that demand! Our seed growth has been severely delayed this summer with the excess rain diluting salinity to less than 10ppt.

Salinity and temperature are vital for healthy growth of oysters.

MC and the team went out today to check on broodstock and seed, and we are finally seeing some beautiful growth on the little ones. If you look closely you can see the new growth on the bill of this oyster 🤩

We appreciate all of the support and understanding as we rebuild from Hurricane Sally and adjust to an unseasonably wet year.

We hope to put Pensacola Bay oysters on your plate soon!
