what’s your excuse?

It is safe to say that I am extremely comfortable in front of the camera.
It’s my full time job.
While working on the production side of things for the past 2 years, I’ve learned the beauty and joy photography and videography brings. My perspective for the industry and specifically what I do as a model and actor has changed for the better. It’s been rough y’all but thank you GOD for the challenges. Find something that challenges you this week, you’ll be surprised how good you feel if you choose to push through 💕

Hey ya’ll the woman in this photo is Kizzi! ⁣
I have had the honor of getting to know her over the past few years all because of the modeling and acting industry. ⁣
Our careers found us booked on set in 2017 and from that day on, a beautiful our path began. We have booked several jobs either from auditioning or direct bookings and continue to find ourselves on set playing the role of “friends” ⁣
The best part is clients have no idea we know each other, they just keep putting us together because of our look And our ability’s but her and I KNOW it’s way more than that. It’s what we both carry, it’s our spirit, it’s our energy. It’s our light! ⁣

This past month we got to spend 7 days together shooting in a beautiful place for an international campaign and once again it was a direct booking, no audition... just two gals and clients choosing us, separately.⁣

It gets better.⁣
⁣
Outside of work, Kizzi and her husband Nick (5 years married 😍) have spent time pouring into Pwayko and I’s relationship and now marriage by showering us with gifts, speaking life and words of wisdom and even collaborating with us on our personal passions. Pwayko and Nick are friends as well and for all of you wives out there I know you know how comforting that is! They are firm believers in quality time and have created a safe space for Pwayko and I to be ourselves with them. ⁣
Kizzi reminds me of Grace in every essence of the word. Kizzi makes me want to do and be better every area of my life. ⁣
She is the type of person who hype up the hype man! ⁣
Off and on set she is the same. ⁣
She’s disciplined, inspiring, motivating, spirit-led, honest, accountable, encouraging. ⁣
She is full of love and wisdom.⁣

THANKFUL TUESDAY!! ⁣

I heard this quote again for like the 10th time and it still feels like the first time. ⁣
“The God I know is known for faithfulness, Hindsight says I can trust him with what comes next.” ⁣
⁣
Everytime I doubt his goodness I’m encouraged by the people around me to simply “reflect.” Whether it be my husband, my friends, my parents or even a random person in line at Publix... I am constantly realizing that healthy reflection is a pathway to peace. ⁣
This year has been incredible in every sense of the word and as it comes to a close I choose to reflect on God’s faithfulness. ⁣
I trust to believe He has me “even when” or “even though” ⁣
It’s easy to say thank you to God and give Him the Glory when we know He does something good in our lives today, but it takes even more to recognize His goodness when all we have is “remember when.”
I don’t know who this is for but what I do know is that if you haven’t been feeling seen, or lately take a moment to reflect on one thing that God has done for you this year that is good,
Hold it in your hand and say this out loud...
“God you did it before, you can do it again. I trust you.”⁣

6 months married today.
Here’s what I know now.

• Pwayko does not like to do laundry but he does the dishes every single night.

• he farts a lot more than he did when we were dating.

• he is my home.

• I am more in love with him today than I was when we got married.

• marriage is designed by God. we got married to replicate the image of God so that others could see Him and everyday we work to do so.

• we are not always this happy but we smile and laugh more than we fight and cry.

• we have both picked up our grandparents torch with honor.

As y’all know I’m a full time model/actor. Here’s somethings you may not know about me and I hope this encourages you.
Over the past 2 years I have learned how to edit in Final Cut, Photoshop & Lightroom. I know most of the terminology for photo and video on set for production. I have also shot, directed and produced both photo and video with a Sony 6300 and A7III. I can light up a set. I understand audio levels and functioning. And now for the past 2 months I have had the opportunity to serve my church as an art director, stylist and production assistant next to my husband and our amazing media team. I ALSO get to work camera 3 for our Live Stream viewers. Guess what? There is so much I still don’t know! PRAISE GOD FOR THE “MORE” LIFE HAS TO OFFER. It’s GOD who has given me strength, tenacity and desire to move like this. He gets all the glory. Excuses are so 2020. I’m past this year and all fear that has tried to come with it. Don’t wait til 2021 to begin doing something new. Keep growing & NEVER STOP LEARNING! 3, 2, 1 ACTION!
