Rip currents will be a serious threat this weekend. Please swim in front of a staffed lifeguard tower. The waves are expected to be small, but powerful rip currents are lurking beneath the surface. We also expect high surf from Hurricane Lee to start arriving on Monday. So, if you plan to head to the beach this weekend or next week, please download the Volusia Beaches app and find a staffed lifeguard tower location. Have fun and BEACH SMART.

I can't believe I used to live a life without breakfast tacos, Whataburger, and cowboy boots, but Austin taught me a few things! 🤠✨🌮
I've learned so much from this city, but now I prepare to say goodbye. Friday will be my last day .
I'm thankful for all the friends I've made and all the stories I've told over the last two years.
I'll be sharing where I'm headed next soon.

The Parmer Lane Fire is now 40% contained. The damage is estimated to be 50 acres.
1 apartment building lost, 3 others damaged as crews battle 50-acre fire in Cedar Park More than 20 agencies and several hundred firefighters from neighboring cities are responding to the fire at Parmer Lane and Whitestone Boulevard.
An apartment complex and nearby neighborhoods have been evacuated as crews respond to a 50-acre brush fire in Cedar Park on Tuesday evening.
As of 12:04 a.m. on Wednesday, the Texas A&M Forest Service reported that an estimated 50 acres and 15% has been contained from the Parmer Lane fire.

I had to put on a mask because the smoke is so thick it was giving me a headache.
I can feel how it is causing some irritation in my throat and nose almost nauseating to a point.
