Good morning! I want to share a fun video montage of my Steller's Jay woodwork piece from start-to-finish. Thanks for watching!
Great news! My Etsy Shop will be up and running as of January 2024! Prior to the grand opening, you will be offered sneak previews of what will go up for sale in the shop on this page, as well as a discount code, too.
Even though the shop is currently under construction, you can add it as a favorite, if you are an Etsy buyer (or plan to be):

Sharing some custom projects from last year. Kentucky Derby door hanger on the left, and a Preakness Stakes winner on the right.
I will have a vendor's booth at an upcoming arts & crafts festival near Halloween time this year. I would be absolutely thrilled, if you stop by to visit and support all the local talented artists! I will be posting over the next couple of months on what I am working on to sell at this event. It will be primarily nature-themed with some holiday goodies mixed in it, too. Items not sold will be placed up in my Etsy shop.
Information on the event:
The 3rd Holiday Arts & Crafts Festival
Date: October 21, 2023
Time and Where: 10am-3pm in Clyde Park (corner of Norman Ave. and Sussex St.) in Clyde, CA 94520
Kept busy for the last few weeks. Not a bad way to end out 2021!
Even thought Halloween is not over yet, I could not wait to unveil my first holiday original creation project. This is a "rough draft" of a carved wooden tree ornament of Dusty the Cockatiel. Other bird species will be unveiled within the next couple of weeks.
Currently brainstorming custom designs for wooden holiday/x-mas ornaments. If anyone has birds out there and/or a favorite particular species, then please comment below! If you have another suggestion for a wooden ornament design, then you feel free to speak your mind, too!
(If curious, the cockatoo and wren ornaments are from Hallmark.)
Garfield and Odie went to their new home together this afternoon. Buttons hammed it up alongside our colorful duo that has entertained us for generations.
The Halloweentown Bus Stop sign was a custom job requested by a longtime fan of the movie. She was looking for this as part of her outdoor Halloween display for nearly 20 years! It was given to its new home this morning. Before it left, Buttons the Cockatoo gave it a “good luck” send off by adding his own fun and magic to it.
Odie is complete! Now his famous lasagna-loving friend is next. :)
Late start on Halloween wood art this year, mainly due to the high cost of lumber. I overestimated my measurements to make this one, which ended up smaller than I anticipated. It still came out nice, and even revealed eyes and a nose within the sanded wood itself. 😂
Can you guess who this iconic character is?
First post on this Labor Day 2021 has gone to the birds. Here are five maintenance-free birds that will be needing forever homes. All birds will be donated to the Bird Haven Rescue and Sanctuary of Kingman, Inc. to raise funds for their wonderful group. Each bird is a painted wood carving!
