It. Is. Done! Passed my test this morning and am officially a certified RV inspector! Just hit Little Rock for the night and will head out for Lexington early in the morning. Looking forward to coming back to for the certified tech course!

How many of you are familiar with surge protectors? 🙋♀️ In short a surge protector or EMS acts as a buffer between your shore power (pedestal) and your RV. We’ve all heard of surges happening in our home, but they can happen anywhere. A sudden surge of electricity, say from a lightening strike, can destroy household electronics and wiring. The same applies to an RV when hooked to power. But did you know that not only too much power, but also too little power can be damaging? That’s right. Low voltage puts a strain on appliances and causes damage over time. When voltage decreases, amperage (the current) will increase. When current increases, things get hot, which can cause melting. So it’s a good idea to have a surge protector that not only protects you against high voltage, but low voltage as well. You’ll want to find what’s called an EMS system that matches your RV system. So 30 amp EMS for a 30 amp unit, or 50 amp EMS for a 50 amp unit. I’ve linked a unit that protects against surges, low voltage, and has a power pedestal tester.

After noticing my fresh water tank was filling while hooked up to city water, I set out to diagnose the problem. My conclusion was a faulty water pump. More than likely a check valve issue. This was an easy straightforward fix for my Keystone RV Mini Springdale.

My top nine posts for 2020. I started this page to sell camping themed t-shirts and gifts, give camping tips and tricks, and was hoping I could find a camper to renovate. Well, fortunately I found a camper because that’s definitely what people are interested in! Social media is tough. It’s hard not to define yourself by a the number of likes you receive. In my mind I saw myself building a following that could possibly afford me a full time RVing lifestyle. It’s hard not to feel frustrated and disappointed in yourself when you fall behind in your goal. I’m not sure what this page will look like in 2021. Life in general just seems up in the air. I still have a wonderful business at my salon and am thankful to my clients who have weathered the storm with me. I have a possible opportunity to do a small remodel on a friends camper and hopefully have a volunteer position coming available with a great group of camping women. Who knows! I do know I love camping and the community of people that I’ve met. I’ve learned so much from so many of these great Instagramers. I love the willingness to share information in this particular genre . Even if I lose interest in my page I will never lose interest in packing up for the weekend to find a new adventure! Or discovering a new project whether it be gnomes or a kitchen remodel!
I hope everyone finds contentment in 2021. I hope That you are kind to yourself first so you can in turn be kind to others. Good luck to you all!! My the S’mores be with you!

The last of my Christmas decor pics just in time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! This Holiday certainly looks different than what we are used to. I hope everyone is able to find a way to be close to family and loved ones. I am asking everyone to make an effort to think of at least one person who will be alone for the Holiday and reach out to them tomorrow. Christmas can be such a tough day. Every year since I was born my sister and I get an ornament for Christmas. They started out as silver ornaments and have changed over the years. My favorite by far are the ones that my mom needlepoints. She always picks out a pattern that is perfect for each of us. They are so special. Do you have any Christmas traditions?

It’s getting closer! The big guys is cranking out those last toy orders and I’m getting ready to get in the kitchen and make a few of my favorite edible gifts. Do you guys like eggnog? 🥚 I was never a huge fan of it until I found the best recipe a few years ago. Now it’s a party favorite. Since there’s no party this year I’ll just be packaging it up and giving it as gifts. Dark rum is the secret ingredient! 🤤

Camper theme number 2! I had so many ideas this Christmas, I just couldn’t decide. I knew I wanted to incorporate some diy picture idea. I love all the deer heads I’ve been seeing. Is that a thing? It feels like it’s a thing. Anyways, that’s where I got the idea for my 3 deer canvases. I purchased some deer head stencils from Etsy, paint and 8.5x10 canvases from , and 3/4 inch trim from . The stencils said 8.5x10 but weren’t as big as I wanted so I had to freehand a bit. Knowing this now I would have probably gone with a bigger size. I painted my trim pieces black and cut them to make a frame using hot glue to adhere. What do you think? Do you prefer the gnomes or the deer?

Manatee season officially started this week at Three Sisters Springs in Crystal River, FL and it is one of my all time favorite things!! This was shot with our GoProin 2017 and it’s one of my favs. Manatee season runs through March and if you’re traveling via RV you can check out Crystal Isles RV resort. It’s right under 5 miles from the Three Sister’s Refuge Center. There is no water access from the refuge, but there are several guide companies around. Make sure to grab a wetsuit from Bird's Underwater Dive Center . I would do the refuge and a tour. The refuge has an observatory deck that allows you to take in the full beauty of the springs. It’s a fantastic photo opp and will have you itching to get in the water!! Remember to listen to the guides and respect the space of the manatees. If they are interested, they will approach you, just like in this picture.
