REVELATION VS KNOWLEDGE!

Revelation is to know what one did not know before.Getting privy of information that has long been available but not accessible to one.

For example in Matthew 16:16 Peter gets a revelation of who Christ is and Jesus commends him by saying flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but my father who is in heaven.

That means revelation is only accessible to those who can crusify the flesh.
No carnal person can access divinity unless he yields to the promptings of the Spirit of God.
It is possible to be a kingdom citizen without accessing particular classified information.
Through prayer the Lord can direct someone through a word of knowledge.

Word of knowledge is a gift given to believers by the Holy Spirit to profit the body of Christ.
It is the supernatural revelation of certain facts in the mind of God concerning people, places or community.

These gifts are supernatural and always speak of the present state or current circumstances.
So Revelation superspeeds common knowledge and it has to do with supernatural access into the spiritual realm.. dealing with spiritual roots manifesting as physical or emotional problems.

In 2 Kings 6:16-17 the servant of Elisha the prophet woke up very early in the morning and found the Army of Syria ready to arrest Elisha as they were commanded by their King.

This is because God would reveal to Elisha whenever the King of Syria had planned an Invasion on the King of Israel. Elisha would proceed to warn the king. Note that Elisha's warning would be specific. It would mark the timing and the direction from which the invasion would come from.

So at this time the servant of Elisha became afraid but Elisha asked God to Open his eyes so that he could see. The bible says the Lord opened his eyes and he saw the mountains were full of horses and Chariots all about Elisha.

In other words the Syrians were a conventional army but Elisha had a spiritual army guarding him all the time.

What about the mountain of transfiguration where Jesus was transformed and transfigured before Peter, James and John and they had the Father approve of the son by saying this is my Son in whom I am well pleased.

In conclusion Revelation transcend knowledge. Knowledge is acquired but revelation is initiated by the Lord depending on the purpose for which one is prepared and called.
